Objectives:
Does Block Recovery take into account the Incremental backup that can be used?
Solution:
The backup of datafile containing Bad blocks must be "full backups" or "Incremental level 0 backups"
Block Recovery does not use 'cremental level 1' for backup,
If the backupset is not fully scanned, we do not know whether the block to be restored exists.
This may cause a waste of resources, if the block is not in the Incremental backup.
Therefore, the blockrecover command only uses archive logs and backups for recovery.
New from 11gR1 onward
-Flashback logs are as well searched for good copies of the block, but for RMAN to be able to search the flashback logs
For good copies of specified upt blocks, Flashback Database must be enabled on the target database.
When performing block media recovery, RMAN automatically searches the flashback logs, if they are available,
For the required blocks before searching backups.
-Command BLOCKRECOVER is replaced by recover block.
