Thanks to the convenient assembly and scalability of PCs, the popularity of computers has been accelerated to a certain extent, and manufacturers of computer accessories have naturally made great contributions to this. However, because the computers we use (especially compatible computers) are a combination of products produced by different manufacturers, there will inevitably be "friction" between them ". This is what we usually call incompatibility. The so-called "compatibility" word also comes from this. Next, let's talk about the incompatibility between components and how to solve the problem.
1. The memory is incompatible with the motherboard.
The memory and motherboard are not compatible with the fault is more common, the performance is that the computer was used well yesterday, but this morning on the machine, that is, the "tick" is not stopped. You only need to open the chassis and take down the memory and plug it in again. Note: You must unplug the host and power cord to prevent accidental memory burning. This is a light fault. In serious cases, you need to wipe several memory slots several times to light up the machine. However, in less than ten days and a half months, an alarm will occur again. You just need to open the chassis and plug in the memory. If you say there is a problem with the machine, as long as it is lit up, there is no problem with running for ten days and a half months in a row. But no one can handle the alarm. In this case, the typical memory is not compatible with the motherboard.
The causes of such a fault are:
(1) memory stick is not standard, memory stick is a little thin. There is a gap when the memory is inserted into the memory slot. If there is vibration or dust falling into the use process, it will cause poor memory contact and generate an alarm.
(2) Poor Gold finger processing of memory stick, poor gold plating of Gold finger surface. During a long period of use, the oxide layer on the surface of the Golden finger gradually increases. After accumulating to a certain extent, the memory may suffer poor contact and the memory will trigger an alarm during startup.
(3) The Memory slot is of inferior quality. The Reed is not in contact with the golden finger of the memory stick. There are always hidden risks during use. It will not be bright for a certain period of time and an alarm will be triggered upon startup.
(4) Pure incompatibility: some boards are used properly, but often crash or cannot be started on this board. This is a typical incompatibility.
Solution:
(1) Use an eraser to clean the Gold finger of the memory stick and re-insert the slot.
(2) fill in the gaps on both sides of the memory slot with hot melt adhesive to prevent further oxidation during use.
(3) If an alarm occurs after a period of time, replace the memory stick first to check whether an alarm is reported during future use.
(4) If a memory alarm occurs after a period of time, the problem can be completely solved only by replacing the motherboard.
If the memory stick is incompatible with the motherboard due to technical issues, you can only replace the memory stick of other brands. Of course, you can also change the motherboard. For example, if kingmax memory is incompatible with the motherboard, a blue screen may occur if the two are combined.
2. Incompatible keyboard and Motherboard
The problem of incompatibility between the keyboard and the motherboard is that the quality of the keyboard and the mouse is poor. The data sampling speed of the chip is inconsistent with that of the motherboard, during use, there will be occasional keyboard errors.
Major faults:
(1) The keyboard or mouse cannot be checked from time to time;
(2) The keyboard or mouse is lost during use;
(3) In addition, the mouse is not indicated by an arrow during use, but can be operated normally or the arrow is lost;
(4) Sometimes, when you drag the mouse, the block is moved with the mouse arrow.
After the machine is sleep, the mouse cannot be used after the machine is awakened. You can only restart the computer or unplug the mouse before inserting it.
This is generally not a problem with the motherboard. You only need to replace the qualified keyboard and mouse.
3. Incompatible graphics card and Motherboard
Fault performance:
First, the video card production process is not standardized, resulting in a short circuit after the insertion of the AGP slot, the performance is not power-on.
Second, the video card works normally sometimes and can light up the monitor; sometimes it does not light up regularly. However, it is normal to insert the video card on another motherboard. In this case, you can only change the video card.
Third, the Computer Host also works normally, and the display image is also normal, but the image screen may appear occasionally and irregularly.
Fourth, as long as you use this video card, the system will be unstable, either frequent crashes, or frequent drop of the video card driver. This situation may also be caused by a defect in the driver design of the video card, resulting in unstable operations of the video card, resulting in a system crash.
4. The hard disk is incompatible with the motherboard.
This is not the case, but there are also some hard disks on this motherboard, but they do not recognize the other one. For example, if the original 100 or 200 MB small hard disk is to be started from the hard disk, it must be in the primary disk location of the ide1 interface before it can be started normally. Otherwise, it can be read and written after being inserted, but cannot be started.
The hard drive speed is not a compatibility issue, but an incorrect configuration or wiring. For example, the dma66 line is reversed; the DMA function in the hard disk attribute is not enabled; the IDE channel in the CMOS settings is not set to automatic, but is manually set to the transmission mode below pio4; if the hard disk line is too long, the data attenuation is too large and the transmission rate is reduced. If the hard disk Power interface is faulty or the switching power supply is insufficient, the power supply voltage of the hard disk is unstable and low. The solution to these problems is to carefully check the hard disk settings. Especially when the dma66 line is reversed, the data transmission rate will be halved. In addition, use the nearest interface whenever possible when using data lines.
5. The sound card is incompatible with the motherboard.
In this case, there are too many devices in the system, which causes the sound card to be interrupted or the address conflicts with other devices. Either the system crashes, the sound card cannot be started properly, or the system is unstable, or the sound card is installed, the modem does not exist. In this case, after the system is installed, go to the Resource Manager, open the properties of the corresponding device, and manually modify the conflicting address or interrupt number to make it idle. This operation may be completed after the computer is restarted multiple times. Note that the input and output devices can share the same interrupt number. Currently, there are a total of 16 interrupt numbers on the PC, ranging from 0 to 15, but there are only a dozen available, because the timer, real-time clock, keyboard, and so on need to be fixed to occupy a few, there are only a few IRQ numbers.
However, due to poor sound card workmanship, after inserting the sound card into the PCI slot, I encountered a problem when the motherboard was not powered on. At first, I thought that the sound card was bad. Who knows that the same model is still the same fault, but the sound card can work normally if it is inserted on the motherboard of another model. The problem can be solved only when the sound card of other models is changed.
6. incompatible with the motherboard
In addition to address conflicts and interruptions, the network adapter also suffers from slow network speeds, especially slow Internet access and download speeds, and even unbearable speeds. This is also caused by conflicts. 7. The latest BIOS is incompatible with the motherboard
When our motherboard does not recognize new CPUs and other new components, or does not recognize capacity hard disks, or the motherboard has some minor bugs, we can download the latest BIOS program of this motherboard from the Internet, and refresh it. However, I encountered an example of Great Wall Gold Brand machine, the configuration is c433, the original use of 4.3g hard disk, and then want to hang a 40g large capacity hard disk, but the original p6set-me motherboard is not recognized. After going online, I found that the latest 1.2 version of BIOS can recognize the 65g hard drive, download it from the Internet, and then refresh it. Everything went very smoothly, started normally, and recognized the hard disk. I thought the problem was solved. However, after the system is installed, the sound card is installed. If you click the mouse, the sound of "beep" will not be removed. At first, I thought it was because the system was not installed or the driver of the sound card was faulty, but it never solved the problem. When comparing the two BIOS code content, it is best to find that the capacity of the ACPI module is slightly different except for the system code content. Therefore, the ACPI module in the old BIOS is stripped out, add it to the new bios, refresh the BIOS chip, and then start the system to find a fault. This is a typical BIOS code conflict with the motherboard.
8. Incompatible display and Motherboard
For Samsung and LG monitors, there is a signal level setting in their OSD menu, which allows the display to accept the signal level at 0.7v and 1.0v. The output signal level of the graphics card of our Commonly Used PC is 0.7v analog signal. If the receiver signal level of the display is set to 1.0v by mistake, the overall display is yellow and dark. Especially for the display used for professional graphics, the color temperature is very high, because it is related to the actual output effect, so when selecting a display, you must choose a high-end display, check whether the input signal of the monitor matches the output signal of the video card.
9. The printer is incompatible with the motherboard.
This situation is generally not easy to appear, mainly because the print signal level output by the motherboard does not match the interface circuit of the printer, resulting in an error during printing, another possibility is that the printed data line is unqualified or the data line is too long, resulting in excessive signal attenuation during transmission. During the maintenance process, I encountered many failures due to abnormal printing caused by parallel data lines. In particular, the length of the data lines should not exceed 2 meters. Otherwise, some strange faults may occur, printing speed is very slow, printing half a page, printing garbled characters, etc.
For example, a customer purchased the shuotek motherboard, The pii450cpu compatible machine and the oki8340c printer. Because the customer is not satisfied with the printing effect of the printer, the printing accuracy is not high and the printing line is not straight, replace the star3200 + printer. However, after the printer is changed, only five lines can be printed, and the printer cannot be printed. It is also suspected that there is a problem with the data line, but the fault persists after the replacement. However, it is normal to use oki8340c again.
Note: The oki8340c and star3200 + printers are compatible with the lq1600k printing driver. You do not need to change the driver when changing the printer.
10. The optical drive is incompatible with the motherboard.
In this case, after the optical drive is plugged in, the boot process of the Computer Host slows down and is prone to crashes or blue screens. However, everything works as long as the optical drive is removed. In this case, the optical drive circuit is damaged, resulting in a pause during data transmission or a long wait time and a crash. 11. Incompatible motherboard and Chassis
In fact, this situation cannot be called compatibility. It is mainly because the chassis has poor manufacturing process and is not standardized. This causes the motherboard to be deformed when the motherboard is installed, resulting in a short circuit caused by the collision of the motherboard and the chassis, either the expansion card has poor contact with the motherboard and causes other faults.
I once encountered that, as long as the motherboard and other components are put into the chassis, there will often be crashes and cannot be started. At the same time, the chassis can be started only when it is flushed, as long as the chassis is set up, it cannot be started. However, if you leave the motherboard empty, it will be able to start up for a long time and run stably.
12. The power supply is incompatible with the motherboard
Power supply is the power source of the computer, but the key is the key. However, many friends always spend a lot of money on CPU and memory when purchasing a machine, saving power consumption. After that, the computer often became ill and went on strike, only to know that it was the power source error, and then bought a good power supply. Why not?
Each part of the computer has a high requirement on power supply stability. The + 12 V, + 5 V Changes within 10%, and the + 3.3v changes within 5%. If the output voltage of the power supply changes beyond this range, some components may experience strange faults, some may simply go on strike, and some may be completely decommissioned.
13. mobile devices and USB interfaces are incompatible
In fact, such faults cannot be classified as incompatible, most of which are caused by the power consumption of mobile devices, while the power supply current of USB interfaces is limited, resulting in the unavailability of mobile devices. If a mobile hard disk or a USB scanner or other mobile devices cannot be used properly, check whether the device's working status indicator is normal, and then check whether the driver is correctly installed, finally, check whether the power supply of the motherboard USB interface is controlled by jumper. The power supply of the motherboard USB interface is best to use the main power supply + 5 V power supply.
Sometimes the same mobile hard disk can be used on some hosts, but not on some hosts. After troubleshooting, it may be because different motherboard USB power supply methods are different, some are direct power supply, from the + 5 V Power interface to the USB interface without any components; some are controlled power supply using a transistor, provides comprehensive protection measures, but the power supply current is limited to ma.
14. The headset is incompatible with the sound card or motherboard.
Sometimes, after you plug in the headset, you find that the sound of the headset is very small and cannot be used normally. There are two situations:
(1) earphone Impedance
The earphones we normally use are 8 ohm impedance headphones. If we purchase high-impedance headphones or other special-purpose headphones, we will feel a little sound when plugged into the computer, even if you maximize your voice, there is no improvement. This is because the input impedance of the load does not match the output impedance of the device.

14. incompatible with the chassis
Hard drive cannot read disks. In this case, we often encounter that the failure rate of a floppy disk is too high, and the failure rate of a floppy disk is also a problem. Particularly, although it has reached the end of the day, it is still useful to install a NIC Driver, unlock a hard disk logic lock, make an encrypted disk, and some anti-virus software also like to use a floppy disk. However, the software drive is very delicate. It is slightly inadequate or too tight during installation. When a floppy disk is inserted, the disk cannot be properly read. When installing a soft drive, we 'd better use a floppy disk to check whether the disk can be loaded in place, whether the disk can be read normally, and whether the box can be normally output.
