Fixed an invalid font name setting in the article.
First download Google's source blackbody, Siyuan blackbody homepage:
http://www.google.com/get/noto/
Official installation Method Link:
http://www.google.com/get/noto/help/install/
The following customer process is suitable for Ubuntu 14.04, and other Linux should also be generic, first download the source font, unpack the zip, and put the CJK font into the catalogue ~/.fonts/noto
:
mkdir -p/tmp//tmp/notowget https://noto-website.storage.googleapis.com/pkgs/ Noto-hinted.zipunzip noto-hinted. Zip mkdir -P ~/.fonts/notomv *.OTF ~/.fonts/noto
Noto's CJK fonts are all .otf
files, so it's enough to install the OTF.
Next is to write ~/.fonts.conf
this setup. I wrote a short one to put in the blog park here. Here is the record:
<?xml version="1.0"? ><! DOCTYPE Fontconfig SYSTEM"FONTS.DTD"><fontconfig> <match target="pattern"> <test qual=" any"Name="Family"> <string>serif</string> </test> <edit name="Family"Mode="prepend"binding="Strong"> <string>noto Sans CJK sc</string> <string>noto Sans CJK tc</string> <string>noto Sans CJK jp</string> <string>noto Sans CJK kr</string> </edit> </match> <match target="pattern"> <test qual=" any"Name="Family"> <string>sans-serif</string> </test> <edit name="Family"Mode="prepend"binding="Strong"> <string>noto Sans CJK sc</string> <string>noto Sans CJK tc</string> <string>noto Sans CJK jp</string> <string>noto Sans CJK kr</string> </edit> </match> <match target="pattern"> <test qual=" any"Name="Family"> <string>monospace</string> </test> <edit name="Family"Mode="prepend"binding="Strong"> <string>ubuntu mono</string> <string>noto Sans CJK sc</string> <string>noto Sans CJK tc</string> <string>noto Sans CJK jp</string> <string>noto Sans CJK kr</string> </edit> </match> </fontconfig>
Special note : Monospace font can not be set to Noto Blackbody, for similar sublime text such a program default font will be changed Cheng Siyuan bold, you must set the program's default width font to see the code AH.
The above-mentioned setup is basically saying that when the system requires a lined (serif/sans-serif/monospace) font, it is displayed in the order of the glyphs to be set. I write the order is the standard coarse and simple noto---Japanese and Korean characters. If you want to use Noto, you can add it to the face after the font name Thin
, for example Noto Sans CJK SC Thin
.
The complete Setup can be installed with the following instructions:
Download File wget http://files.cnblogs.com/daijkstra/fonts.conf.zip extract unzip- F Fonts.conf. Zip -D ~/
Set it up .fonts.conf
and re-logout/login Ubuntu once, and the system will use the source word when it is displayed in CJK. Next, in each application, such as the Chrome font, you can use a different font in both English and Chinese. And the Ubuntu system itself can be changed with Unity tweak tool.
There is no need to perform the following two modifications to remove or disable the addition of italics after the language support completion:
sudo apt-get remove Fonts-arphic-ukai fonts-arphic-uming
ubuntu14.04 Chinese italic default font-ruthless-blog Park
Http://www.cnblogs.com/linjiqin/p/3973171.html
sudoinstall font-Managersudo font-manager
Also do not need to refer to the following posts to modify the/etc/fonts/conf.d/69-language* file
