The db2licm command allows you to add, remove, list, and modify licenses installed on your local system.
Db2licm [-a filename] [-e hard | soft] [-P prod-Password registered | concurrent | Internet | measured] [-r prod-Password] [-u prod-Password num-users] [-N prod-Password num-processors] [-L] [-V] [-?]
Command Options:
-A: Add a product license.
Specifies the file name that contains the valid license information. This can be obtained from your licensed product CD, or contact an IBM representative or authorized dealer.
-N: update the number of authorized processors.
Specify the number of processors you have the right to use with this product.
-E: update the system's mandatory policy. Valid values: hard and soft. Hard
The request without a license is not allowed. Soft specifies that requests without a license will be recorded, but there is no limit.
-L list all products with available license information.
-P: update the type of the license policy to be used on the system. You can specify the keywords concurrent, registered, or concurrentregistered. In addition, it can be a "DB2 UDB workgroup server" Product
Specify the internet. You can also specify measured for the DB2 connect unrestricted product.
-R remove the product license. After removing the license, the product operates in the "try first and then buy" mode. To obtain the password of a specific product, use the-L option to call the command.
-U: update the number of purchased user licenses. Specify the password and number of users of products that have purchased their licenses.
-V displays the version information.
-? Displays help information.
When this option is specified, all other options are ignored and only the help information is displayed.
