On the weekend, I installed Oracle R12 on Windows XP with virtual machine Linux. Because the system was copied, there were no problems except when I checked the NIC address, two abnormal restarts occur during installation. The cause is unknown.
I installed Oracle 10 GB and downloaded it from the Internet. I only downloaded one client. After installation, I didn't know how to use it. Then I downloaded the 10 Gb database at the following address:
After installing oracle 10g, I directly put tnsnames. ora from the sample copy out, and then added their own tns, login after the following error: ora-12154: TNS: cocould not resolve the connect identifier specified.
I found a solution on the Internet: modifying Environment Variables
Right-click My computer-> Properties-> Advance-> Environment Variables-> System Variables-> Path: change all the addresses of oracle to the newly installed Oracle Installation Directory (for example, previously, an Oracle database was installed in D: \ Oracle, and a new Oracle database was installed in D: \ Oracle10. Because it points to D: \ Oracle and D: \ Oracle10, change D: \ Oracle to D: \ Oracle10), the problem is solved, and login is normal.
