Defect management typically focuses on the following areas:
1. Processing speed of defects
2. Status of defect handling
3. Distribution of defects
4. Causes of defects
With Leangoo Kanban We can manage defects visually, so that we have a clear picture of the progress of the defects, the person in charge, the current status and distribution. Let's learn how to use Leangoo to manage defects.
1. Understanding the progress and status of defects
In Leangoo, we can create one or more defect management Kanbans for a project or product. On the Kanban board, we use the list to represent the state of the defect, and the card in the list represents a flaw.
1, we divide the state of the defect into: The latest submission, unconfirmed call back, confirmed pending repair, repair, repair completed, confirm repair, end, a total of seven states, to create a list for each state. We can drag defects to different lists based on the progress of the defect processing. In the title bar of each status list we also count the number of defects in that state, so that we can not only know the current state of the defect, but also be clear about the number of defects in each state, so that we can analyze whether there are bottlenecks in the workflow and help us optimize our efficiency.

2. Designate the person responsible for the defect
For each defective card, we can drag the Kanban member on the right side of the Kanban board to the card to specify the owner of the card. 2 is shown below:

You can also open the card, click Add Member can also set the owner of the defect, 3 is shown.

3. Editing defective Content
If the defect content is less, simply click on the Add Card editor below the list. If the defect content is more, in order to edit more convenient, you can open the card, edit in the card panel, if shown in Figure 4. The first 140 words of the card content are displayed on the Kanban card, and you can view the full details by opening the card.
If the defect is relevant, you can upload the defect by clicking the Add Attachment button on the right, or add a link to the attachment.

4. Classification and filtering of defects and statistics
1) Classification by different Kanban boards
If a product or project is large in size and different modules or subsystems are owned by different teams, a defect kanban can be created for each team. In addition, you can set up cycles for kanban, such as a monthly cycle, regularly analyze defect causes and distributions, and speed of team defect processing.
2) Classification by tags
In Leangoo, we can customize the label for each card, which can be a defect level, a defect type, or a module. Select the label filter on the Kanban board to see only the card and quantity statistics under this tab.
To summarize, Leangoo is a free, concise and practical kanban tool that can help us identify problems and bottlenecks and optimize team efficiency through kanban visual management flaws.
