VS Publishing Site Detailed steps to publish your website locally (on your own computer), first you have to build an IIS server (see my previous blog for a specific build method). Here are the specific steps:
1. Open your VS2012 website project, right click on the Project menu to regenerate the website project; Right click again to publish
2. Pop-up website publish Settings panel, click < New ... Create a new publish profile (the configuration file can be literally named):


3. Click Next: In the Publish method, select "File System" so that we can publish to the local files that we specify.





4. Select the physical address of the website to be published (you can make the C drive a different disk) such as: C:\Users\Younggod, \documents\website. Click Next.
5. In the configuration, to select "Release"-The release mode (release is called the release version, it is often a variety of optimizations, so that the code size and speed of the program is optimal, so that the user is good to use. Debug is often called a debug version, it contains debug information, and does not make any optimizations to facilitate the programmer to debug the program

6. Click Next: Enter the pre-Release preview screen

7. Click Publish to publish the folder you specified, here, I am publishing the WebSite folder under the C drive .

After publishing successfully, click Open Folder, all the pages of the . CS files are gone, where have all gone? Is it inside the bin folder? Let's take a guess.

Application pools: Defaapppool.

Physical path: C:\Users\Younggod, \documents\website (where the site is published above).

IP Address: The address of your native computer in the local area network.

PORT: Give a number greater than 1024. 80 is the browser, the default break number. 0-1023 is a well-known port number, which is already recognized or reserved for software that is to be recognized as defined.

Click OK.

Last step: Register the IIS server. Command:aspnet_regiis-i(please copy), first in the Program menu "VS2012 "Visual Studio Tools " VS2012 Developer Command Prompt. Right-click theVS2012 developer command Prompt. Run as Administrator. (the "Insufficient permissions" error will be prompted if you are not running as an administrator)

After running, right-click Paste aspnet_regiis-i Press ENTER.

Finally, find your own website home page, right-click Browse. IE Sometimes it will not respond (the Address bar appears blank), it will be successful to browse multiple times.

Workaround: Right-click the site and select Edit Permissions. Security--edit--add--advanced--Find--everyone now.

2 Missing site default page
Workaround: This is because the default start page for the site is not set. You need to add the default start page in the default document. Right-click Default document--Open function--Add, enter the default start page name of the publishing site.

3. NET version inconsistency

Workaround:
Enter the application pool interface

in the application pool, right-click the Web site you want to publish--Advanced Settings ——. NET Framework version set to v4.0
