If you press this button, it will show a complex list of settings, many people may not be familiar with those features, only the professional and technical departments know how to set them. As a result, the new Start button does not give users a familiar environment, but instead uses another way to redirect them to a new environment.
In addition, Microsoft wants to use another way to attract traditional PC users, it allows users to start the computer directly into the "face" mode. However, as with the Start button, this does not revert to the previous state, but enters the Windows UI interface in a new way.
The biggest change in Windows 8.1 is that it allows people to use the features in the Windows UI interface in a much easier way, providing better, more consolidated search results, and hinting at the future direction of personal computing.
Windows 8.1 Provides a new feature that makes navigation easier. Users can enter the "Apply All" interface with a single stroke of the start screen. Sliding up and down can show all the apps that have been installed on the computer, not just those apps that users have set up as their favorite apps. Previously, users needed to swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and click on another button to achieve the same effect.
Unfortunately, the "all Apps" page seems to be too cumbersome for people to feel. A large number of icons fill up two screens at a draught. Although you can reorganize them by category or alphabetical order, too many of them affect the ease of use of the system.
The search feature is easier to use in Windows 8.1 systems. You can go to the search interface by sliding your finger from the right edge of the screen to the center or clicking the search function under the Windows UI page.
Windows 8.1 can also run on smaller devices, including Acer's Iconia W3. Iconia W3 is equipped with a 8.1-inch display and wireless keyboard. In the past, Windows 8 systems can only run on devices that are about 10 inches or larger.
But I don't have a cold on some new features, like the ability to adjust the split screen size. On Acer and even Microsoft's own Surface Pro Tablet PC, users can only divide the screen into two, and the spacing between the two screens is fixed. After the upgrade, the size of the split screen can be adjusted to One-third or two-thirds.
Another feature is predictive text functionality. When using certain applications such as mail, the Windows 8.1 system can provide 3 predictive Word options when the user is typing on a virtual keyboard on the screen. For me, this feature has caused me more interference than help.
There is also a feature that can turn a camera into an action detector. Microsoft demonstrated this feature in an application called "Food and Drink", where users can operate by simply separating their fingers. In fact, this functionality is not useful in practice, sometimes turning the page in the wrong direction or not reacting at all.
