Reason Analysis:
The hard drive is not set correctly in 1.BIOS
If you do not set the hard drive parameters correctly in the BIOS, you will be prompted to not find the hard drive when you install it.
2. Hard Drive cable Loose
The hard drive will not be properly recognized when the computer is turned on due to loose hard cable connections.
Solution:
1 manual identification of the hard drive in the BIOS
Step 1: After restarting the computer, press the corresponding key according to the ScreenTip to enter the BIOS (generally the Delete key or F2 key).
Step 2: Select the "Main" menu.
Step 3: If it is an IDE hard disk, select the Pirmary IDE Master and the Primary IDE Slave menu and press ENTER. If it is a SATA hard drive, try selecting from the "SATA 1" to "SATA 6" menu and press ENTER (Figure 1).

Add:
It may also be because your XP system disk does not have an integrated SATA controller driver, so you cannot detect your SATA hard drive.
Workaround:
1. Use the XP system disk that is integrated with the SATA controller drive.
2. Into the BIOS, the SATA options to the IDE or compatible, restart the computer, using a SATA controller-driven XP disk can also be installed, no error.
XP default is not SATA-driven, so can not install, try the following workaround:
1, if you find the motherboard stat drive disk, you can insert the installation when prompted, generally difficult to find!
2, into the BIOS to see if there is a SATA mapping to the IDE options, mapping to the IDE does not have to drive the
3, find a SATA-driven GHOSTXP direct cloning installation
