A colleague recently brought a format is a WPS document paper, please I help him to change and then print out, my computer installed word processing software is Word 2002, it is said that Office XP with a WPS document converter, has never had the opportunity to use. But when I opened a look, the content is all garbled, but under or first installed WPS office to help colleagues solve the urgent need. Later, after the study, finally solved the problem. It is now sorted out, hoping to give some help to friends who have had similar experiences.
For friends who use Word 2000, when you install an Office system, office will not install the WPS Converter if you are using the default installation method. Word 2002 will still appear garbled when you open WPS, although the converter is installed automatically. The above questions can be solved by the following methods.
Find an installation disk for Office 2000 (The Office XP Setup disk cannot find the file), In the CD-ROM Pfilescommonmssharedtextconv folder to find an executable file named Wps2word.exe, double-click, the program will automatically determine whether you have installed the converter, if not installed, the program will automatically install the converter to the computer. If you are prompted for installation (especially for Office XP users), it is recommended that you uninstall it first, and then select reinstall the dongle.
After installation, restart the system, open Word 2000 or Word 2002, in the Open File dialog box in the File type box more than "WPS dos import" and "WPS Files" two options (as shown in Figure 1), These two options make it easy to import the WPS and WPS 2000/wps Office documents from the DOS version in Word.

It is important to note that the converter can convert most of the formatting and embedded objects in the WPS document, but may result in a change in the layout format, just rearrange the document.
