Why do we think the following services are the main? Because they are either very famous or widely used.
For website managers, ranking on these famous search engines is crucial, because it may bring endless traffic to their websites.
For information searchers, these well-known and commercial search engines can query more reliable results. They are well maintained and updated frequently, and can keep up with the rapid development of the entire network.
Not all of the following are the search engines of the entire crawl network that we call "true sense. For example, both Yahoo and Open Directory manually edit the "category Directory" of the content ". 3. Ask Jeeves

Ask Jeeves is a kind of manual search service. It aims to point to a specific page to answer your question. If it does not find relevant answers in its own database, it will provide pages found from other search engines. The service started its beta test in middle April 1997 and started its operation in June 1, 1997. The results of Ask Jeeves also appear in AltaVista (see above ).
