Users may need to clear the history of document open under the File menu for some security considerations. For example, the user wants to clear the link to the document "0905 page paste problem. doc" in Figure 1.

Because the list of recently opened documents has been written to the system registry in a new version of WPS Office 2005, the following describes how to delete history from the edit Registry in WPS Office 2005.
Solving method
First, all WPS Office applications are closed.
Click on the "Start | run" menu item, enter: REGEDIT, open Registry Editor. (Note: Edit the registry must be backed up before operation, so as to avoid system problems caused by misoperation)
Locate the following path:
Hkey_current_usersoftwarekingsoftoffice6.0wpsrecentfilesfiles, as shown in Figure 2:

Find the key you need to delete, in this case, "3", delete directly, and finally exit Regedit.
The result of the deletion is shown in Figure 3.

Attention matters
If a user fails to delete a link, the following two conditions may cause the deletion to be unsuccessful:
1. Before editing the registry, the removal of all WPS Office programs is not valid.
2, after deleting the registry key value, does not exit the registry program, opens the WPS Office program.
Scope of application:
Applies to WPS Office 2005 and above.
