I have read this article online for a long time before writing this article. There are too few articles about WPS support under win7.
I had to experiment for a few days, and the results were recorded as follows, including many of my hypothetical parts. If there is anything wrong, please correct it.
Let's talk about the hypothetical part. On the internet, we all say that only vrouters and wireless network cards support WPS (this WPS is a Wi-Fi protection setting. But I personally think that is in XP, because the WPS of the router is hardware support and must have this function, while the WPS of the NIC is software support, while XP does not support WPS, therefore, you can only select a wireless network card that supports WPS, download the original driver installation, and use the original program to select the WPS option. Windows 7 has built-in WPS support, so you can use it without downloading the original driver. That is to say, wireless NICs that do not support the WPS function can also be supported.
To be honest, win7 is supported, but it is not easy to use. Generally, when you first identify the wireless route SSID that supports WPS, the following box appears:
However, once you have changed the routing settings and other reasons, you will not be able to identify the network. Only passwords can be entered. Is it depressing? I tried it for a few days. The following is a summary. If you want to let this box pop up, perform the following operations:
1. change 192.168.1.1-> advanced-> Wireless Settings-> (Netgear: do not select if the vropin pin mode is invalid-> application-> Tenda: wireless Settings-> Security Settings-> WPS Setting Mode pin or none)
2. Choose network and sharing center> Manage wireless network> Delete the network.
(If the network does not appear here, choose "network"> "properties"> "security"> "Network Security Key"> "cannot be connected after you change the password, but cannot be restarted)
(Note that two or two steps will cause network reconnection. It is best to perform step 3 before re-connection. wireless networks are not supported-> disconnected)
3. Wireless Network-> connection
4. You can connect to the vro by pressing the button on the vro.
5. Press the vro WPS button to automatically connect
(Note: access connections does not support WPS)
This article describes the experiment between the Netgear wgr614 router (and Tenda 811r router) and the Intel (r) WiFi Link 1000 BGN wireless network card of t420.
