A clever idea: improve the overall level of English

There are two ways to help you improve your TOEIC test results:
To understand the TOEIC test and other candidates to adopt a good test strategy.
Have good English proficiency (this requires a long-term accumulation).
This progressive preparation program, provided in this book, can help you achieve the first way to improve your performance. The best way to improve your English is to use it whenever and wherever you can. If possible, go to an English course. Outside the classroom, try to find opportunities to speak English, especially with native English speakers. Read English newspapers and magazines, listen to English news and English talk shows on the radio, attend English lectures, watch the original English movies and so on.

Clever second: Understand their own strengths and weaknesses, in their own areas of lack of work

You may already know exactly where your English needs to be improved, or you may want to use the "preview of questions" in this book to determine your weaknesses in English. Then do a preview of these questions before you start learning. Do you think it is particularly difficult to have one or several questions? If so, devote more time and energy to learning about the corresponding part of the book. Source: www.examda.com

Three tricks: Hurry up and prepare for the exam

Taking an important exam such as TOEIC is like facing a challenge in your life. You have to do a lot of training to prepare for the exam, and it has to be systematic training.
Before you begin your review, prepare a schedule to plan your learning every hour. If you make a review plan in such a meticulous manner every day or 3 or 4 days a week, you will be more efficient than a general plan. After a week of learning according to the plan you have made, revise it appropriately as needed, then try to follow the plan to review it, and stick to the days before the exam. By this time, when you review your exam results will not have much impact, at this time you should do the best is to relax.
If possible, arrange for a period of time for the preparation of the exam, do not do other homework during this period, do not be occupied by other things, just concentrate on reviewing the preparation of the TOEIC.

Study with "30-5-5" method:
First, study for 30 minutes.
Rest for 5 minutes. Leave the desk and do something else.
When you come back, take 5 minutes to review what you have learned in the 30 minutes, and then preview what you will learn.

It's also good to have regular exchanges with other people who are ready to take the TOEIC test. Studies have shown that this "learning group" has a very good learning effect.

Good idea four: familiar with TOEIC test questions and the examination requirements of each part

If you have a clear "map" of the TOEIC test on your mind, you will not be confused on the day of the exam, and you'll know where you are now and what the next question will be.
In general, the test requirements for each part are the same, even for example. If you are familiar with these requirements, you do not have to look at the exam, you can save a lot of valuable test time. For copyright reasons, the titles in this book are slightly different from those in the formal exams, but they are similar. If you understand the requirements in this book, you will be able to understand the test requirements in the actual test.

Trick five: Know how to scribble an answer on the answer sheet

One of the most annoying things about exams is that you suddenly find that the question number and answer sheet on the question you are doing are misplaced. You have to go back to the traced point, see where you actually started to write the line, and then from that question began to correct the answer in turn. To avoid the occurrence of such problems, you can mark them with your examination papers. Cover the unanswered questions on the answer sheet with the test paper and move the paper down one line after each question.
With a few 2B pencils, a handy eraser, and a small pencil sharpener. Don't scribble with a pen or a signed pen. When applying the answer, be sure to paint the whole box full and don't scribble.
Be sure to fill in the answers, and apply only one answer to each question. If you want to change the answer, be sure to clean it thoroughly.

Coup VI: Whatever it is, guess!

TOEIC Test answer the wrong points, that is to say, if you do not know which answer to choose, guess a write, do not empty do not write. Remember, even if you're guessing, you're guessing the odds are 1/4 (25%). (and in the second part of the question, you have a 1/3 chance of being correct, that is, 33.3%.)
If you do not know which answer is right, then according to the general guessing standard, it is recommended that you choose (C), which is better than aimlessly guessing.

Trick Seven: Sift through the correct answers with the exclusion method

In the coup six, you know that you can guess an answer when you encounter a problem that you can't do. However, it is best not to blindly guess at the end of the exam, instead, you should try to make the best choice. At this point, the rule of exclusion comes in handy, in other words, when you can't find the right answer, remove the obvious wrong and less-than-correct options, and then guess one of these remaining alternative answers if there are multiple options that cannot be excluded.
Here is a typical single-choice question:

The problem of the dry ...... .....

[A] Alternative answers
[B] Alternative answers
[C] Alternative answers
[D] Alternative answers

Of course, only 1 of the 4 options are the best choice, this is the correct answer, and the other 3 are the error options because these error options are misleading.

The problem of the dry ...... .....

[A] Error options
[B] Error options
[C] Correct answer
[D] Error options

However, not all error options are so obvious that there are one or two options that can be seen as wrong at a glance, and the other one is less discerning, and it is close to the right answer. Most people are wrong on this option, which is the main error option.

The problem of the dry ...... .....

[A] Main error option
[B] Error options
[C] Correct answer
[D] Error options

Even if you can only exclude 1 from the 4 options, you will be able to increase the odds of guessing from 1/4 (25%) to 1/3 (33.3%), and if you can rule out two, you will have a very high chance of being correct--reaching 1/2 (50%).
After excluding one or two options, I still can't decide which one to choose. At this point, if your "hunch" (an instinctive feeling) tells you that one of the options is better, choose this one. If you don't have a hunch, choose the "standard" option, and if your "standard options" have been ruled out, simply pick one and continue with the following question.
Let's look at an example from the fifth part of the question to see the application of the exclusion method in practice:

I ' m eager ____ The new member of the product development team.

[A]meeting
[B]will Meet
[C]to Meet
[D]met

You might first exclude options B and D, because in these two options, meet is a verb, and a verb is already present in the sentence. Moreover, option D expresses the past tense. Now it's a bit difficult to choose between A and C, the A option meeting is a verb, and the C option to meet is an infinitive. But even so, you may still be able to make the right judgments based on the grammar you have learned. And in terms of language sense, one of the answers in the sentence is more smooth to read.
If you choose C, correct it! But not all TOEIC tests are the model, and even trying to get rid of a wrong option is hard. But for the test taker, the elimination of the law is still an effective answer tool.

Eight: Learn to control the mood in exams

It is normal to feel nervous and anxious before the exam. Standardized exams like TOEIC often have an impact on your future planning to a certain extent. If you go to a sports meeting or make an important business speech, you will feel nervous too. There is a saying in English that vividly describes this feeling: "Butterflies in your stomach" (feeling nauseous). But once the exams begin, the feeling of tension disappears. It's also good for you to be a little nervous, and it can make your attention more focused. But excessive tension can make you go insane and make a low-level mistake.
One of the methods of self-decompression before exams is to advance to the examination room. If you're in a hurry or you're late, you'll be very nervous about the exam.
If you're nervous when you're doing the second verse, stop for a little rest-"Give yourself 15 seconds off". Lean on the back of the chair, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and try to relax-then continue with your questions. (Do not use this technique when listening to a test--otherwise many topics will be missed!) )
In short, the best way to eliminate exam anxiety is to take a positive, confident attitude to face the exam. When you are familiar with the whole exam, skillfully mastered the exam skills, complete a set of real problems, you will gradually build up this mentality. The TOEIC comprehensive course is written to help you achieve these goals.
