HTML5 survey: Doing well, earning no worse than iOS

According to the famous mobile ecosystem analysis company VisionMobile, the latest release of the developer Economics report. Developers ' preference for iOS and Android has declined overall, while HTML5 has risen by two percentage points to 52% per cent a year ago.

HTML5 platform: On the way forward

While the number of developers who think of Android as the target platform has increased significantly, most developers are still choosing iOS when it comes to the top platform. According to VisionMobile, HTML5 is the most popular platform after Android, while iOS is ranked third in South, South America and the Middle East and African markets.

HTML5 income: Worse, worse

For developers, the most important thing is the revenue situation of the platform. iOS, HTML5, and Android have the highest revenue for iOS apps, with iOS developers earning 500 to 1000 dollars per application per month, directly killing Android developers (100 to 200 dollars a month for each application). The HTML5 application development revenue, though not iOS tyrants, has also dumped Android on a small street:

More interestingly, however, the higher-income people in HTML5 developers (developers earn more than 50,000 dollars per application per month) are more than iOS:

In other words, if HTML5 does well, the revenue will not be worse than iOS.

The future of HTML5

With the development of mobile devices, the process of mobile applications compatible with each device becomes more cumbersome. The ability to HTML5 across multiple platforms is a good choice for developers.
