Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Company (NTT) was founded in 1976, is Japan's largest telecommunications service provider-Japan Telecom Telephone Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary. Netmagic, Japan's telecoms giant NTT Communications subsidiary, is preparing to build a large data center in Mumbai, which is said to be the largest data center in the region.

Netmagic has the largest data center in the Indian service provider. Although economic growth is slow, in recent years India's economic development is good enough compared with other countries. A strong economy usually means a 8084.html ">" Booming IT Service market, and data center service providers such as Netmagic are also pursuing higher levels of development.

In 2012, the Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Company had a 74% stake in Netmagic, when Indian companies were in an expansion mode, listed domestically or on Nasdaq, or were bought by larger players. Sharad Sanghi, managing director and Chief Executive officer, has other companies besides Netmagic.

Mumbai's future data center, known as Mumbai DC5, will have 300000 square feet of data center capacity. "It will be the largest data center in Bombay," Netmagic president and executive director Gupta said.

Currently, the largest data center size is a 200000 sq ft facility, he said.

Netmagic will be particularly attractive when it settles down in Mumbai, where the economy is good and the infrastructure is perfect, so prices are more expensive than the average area, so data center providers are often more willing to build out of the urban areas.

In addition to a convenient location, Mumbai has an international airport and a reliable electrical infrastructure. Power grid instability in India's other data centers is notorious in India, forcing operators to rely on generators for too long. Thus, a reliable supply of electricity is available in Mumbai.

This is the second time the company has started building its own data center from scratch. The first time was Bangalore's DC2 facility. In addition to these two, other facilities are by leasing and transformation to achieve.

NTT is scheduled to complete the project fund by July 2015. The project is at the design stage, but the foundation has been started at the construction site, Gupta said.

Netmagic currently has eight data centers in India, located in four major hubs in India: Four in Mumbai, two in Bangalore, one in deli and one in Chennai. Mumbai's data center accounts for half of the company's market share.

"We see the enormous potential of India's economy and E-commerce in India," Bezos said. "With the current size and growth rate, India is expected to allow us to complete the fastest 1 billion-dollar total sales in our country," he said. ”

Gupta declined to say whether to buy Amazon's data center space in India, but also said that big unknown e-commerce companies are also planning to buy.

Flipkart, one of India's best E-commerce companies, spends 2 billion dollars with Amazon on 250 netmagic DC4 facilities.

Netmagic is shrinking the scope of services. "We don't do any other business except the data center," Gupta said.

This means that the company will provide services such as host hosting, bandwidth, and Remote Assistance, but will not do network collection or system integration. About 70% of the revenue comes from management services.

The company also offers a wide range of cloud infrastructure services. Its main competitor in the region is Amazon and IBM, says Gupta.

In the data center, its service coverage ranges from power and cooling to managing operating systems and security services. The staff will help provide management services or e-business applications to the enterprise with the aid of data centers. As Japan's largest telecoms firm, NTT, Japan's telecoms giant, has been exerting its force in the data center, and its subsidiary's new data center in India will further expand its service business, perhaps bringing more opportunities to the imperfect local infrastructure.
