The computer encountered a problem as mentioned in the question. Click my computer's properties to bring up a dialog box saying "C: \ WINDOWS \ system32 \ rundll32.exe cannot be found ", later, I wanted to open some installed software programs, but a dialog box asking you to choose how to open them was displayed. Later I found that anti-virus software was gone. What surprised me was that files could not be installed! What should we do?
Solution: If the exe open mode is modified by a trojan or virus, no executable file can be opened.
Solution 1: First Change regedit.exe to regedit.com or regedit. scr.
Run regedit.com, find the hkey_classes_root \ exefile \ shell \ Open \ command key value, change the default value to % 1% *, and then change regedit.comto regedit.exe.
Solution 2: Save the following content as exefile. reg, double-click to import the registry, or Run regedit exefile. reg in pure dos to import the registry. (Note: leave an empty row behind regedit4)
Regedit4
[Hkey_classes_root \ exefile \ shell \ Open \ command]
@ = \ % 1 \ % *
Solution 3: (only applicable to win2000/XP ):
1. Change cmd.exe to cmd.com or cmd. scr.
2. Run pai.com.
3. Run the following two Commands: ftype exefile = % 1% * assoc. exe = exefile
4. Change cmd.comto cmd.exe.
Solution 4: Re-associate the EXE file. Open any window (non-IE window), tools --- Folder Options ---- file type ---- New ---- enter "EXE" in "file extension" ----- click "advanced, select "application" ------- OK from the drop-down menu.
