ArcGIS Server 10.0 Configuration Service
1. Install ArcGIS Server 10.0
Note: IIS must be installed here. Otherwise, ArcGIS Server Manager and ArcGIS Services Directory cannot be installed.
2. install and configure the GIS service
3. after the configuration is complete, three users are generated. I need to set these three users as administrators ): right-click my computer under win7-> Manage-> local users and groups-> users, we will see the following members (the Member names may vary according to their settings ):
We need to set the preceding arcgissoc, arcgissom, and arcgiswebservices as administrators, and set qzj as affiliated to agsusers and agsadmin, in this way, our current user has permissions to operate the ArcGIS Server map service.
After that, log on to the ArcGIS Server Manager. Run ArcGIS Server Manager, as shown in.
The logon page is displayed:
Enter the user name and password:
Note: The username format is your host name \ Instance name (arcgiswebservices by default)
For example, if the host name of my computer is qzj, enter qzj \ arcgiswebservices as the user name.
Enter the password. Note that the password here is the one you set When configuring the GIS server.
The logon interface is as follows:
This indicates that the server configuration is successful .....
Next, let's talk about how to publish the map server service.
Log on to arccatalog (Be sure to log on as an administrator)
Double-click ArcGIS Server under the directory tree (here I have added a service with the Host Name qzj-PC, as shown in)
Interface
Select Manage GIS service and click Next
The URL format of the server is as follows:
Http: // localhost/<Instance name>/services
Here, the Instance name I set myself is arcgisserver, and then enter my host name
Click Finish. We created a server.
Next we can release our map through this server. Here we release the map server service.
Locate the. mxd format map location in the directory tree of arccatalog.
Right-click and choose publish to ArcGIS Server. The following dialog box is displayed:
The server we created above will be automatically selected here
Note that before we release the map server, we must establish a GIS service connection, that is, to establish the above GIS service, in this way, the ArcGIS s erver will have a selection item (in fact, the map server will report an error if no GIS service is set up ).
Name the service name of our map server. You can enter the service name based on your own map.
Click Next
Select the function we want to start. Generally, the default value is enough. Click Next
Click Finish to publish the mapserver.
Finally, let's test our released map server.
Start ArcGIS Services Directory-arcgisserver as an administrator in the Quick Start Column
The following view is displayed:
We can see that there is a surpermarket service under services, which is a mapserver service type. This indicates that the release is successful.
Or enter the address in the browser:
Http: // qzj-PC/arcgisserver/rest/services/surpermarket/mapserver
The details of the map we released will appear.
Indicates that the operation is successful.
Note that the address varies with the Host Name and Instance name. This address is also the address of the map server we released for our application.
