BPO aims to reduce operating costs and increase operating benefits. Generally, there are three types of business processes:
The first is the core process (Building Competitive Advantages );
The second is a key, non-core process (which is important but does not bring about decisive competition differences );
The third type is non-core and non-critical processes (the basis of the work environment ).
No one of the above three processes suggested outsourcing the first core process. On the contrary, companies should invest more in the core process. Many consultants suggest outsourcing the second key, non-core process to suppliers with specialized experience in related processes, this is because these suppliers will invest in research on relevant processes to bring their services to the world-class level. Most consultants suggest outsourcing all the third non-core and non-critical processes. This aims to further strengthen the core work and reduce the cost of the non-core work, thereby enhancing the competitive advantage.
Enterprises outsource non-core services. It has begun to feel that developed countries are outsourcing such labor-intensive things to developing countries. This situation continues, evolves, and develops. They master the core technology, and a small amount of labor can earn a lot of income, and we still need to sell our physical strength. What should we do if we are at a significant disadvantage ??
Maybe the nature of BPO is not as clear as I said, maybe it is the result of a clearer division of labor. But I think of this. Many enterprises are like this, and their core technologies are controlled by others! In the long run, how will our country develop?
