This solution connects a proxy server, a router, or a Switch/HUB over the Ethernet port of the ADSL client device to achieve broadband service access for Internet cafes or small and medium-sized enterprises. The proxy server and vro act as the gateway for external access. When the ADSL client device connects to the Switch/HUB, the ADSL client device acts as the gateway and enables the NAT Function.
1. Proxy Server Mode
This method is simple and cost-effective. The proxy server manages a PC at the upper level. Due to the limitation of the PC, the proxy server becomes a potential bottle diameter, but the internal management is good.
2. Router Mode
Vro manages a VPC at a higher level. The number of PCs in the internal network is unlimited, but the cost is high.
3. Switch/HUB Mode
1) The ADSL client device is connected in the 1483B mode. Each user initiates a PPPoE connection, and each user is independent of each other. You can use UAS to limit the maximum number of PPP for each ADSL line PVC.
2) The ADSL client device is connected through PPPoA, IPoA, PPPoE, and enables NAT and DHCP. It can be used as the gateway of the internal LAN.
