Business Process Modeling, BPM Summary

Today, I read a book on BPM and summarized my experiences as follows:

Formalize existing process and spot needed improvements
Facilitate automation, efficient process flow
Increase Productivity and decrease head count
Allow people to solve the hard problems

3. standard: BPEL, bpml, BPMN, choreography (two previous approaches to Choreography: Web Services choreography interface (WSCI) and Web Services conversation language (wscl ).), wfMC, business process definition Meta Model (bpdm) and business process runtime interface (bpri), BPSS
Among them, BPEL is the most worthy of research.

4. workflow v. S. BPM
Workflow tends to be automated
BPM tends to be integrated: the Core of BMP is to integrate various businesses (independent applications) through Web Services.
