Change the default IE favorites path in Windows 7

First, open registry editor: Click start -- search in'ProgramAnd search for Regedit. Ext in the file 'box -- find it and click open.

In the registry, find the path to the IE favorites Folder: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ User Shell Folders \ favorites.

Finally, modify the value of favorites to the path you want to set. For example, change my value to D: \ favorites (the original default value is % USERPROFILE % \ favorites)

 

Tips: After this modification, you can export the registry information. If you try again next time, you can import the Registry directly.

Export method: Select "favorites"> "file"> "Export" and name it and save it. If you want to use it next time, click Import the saved registry file.

 

You can change other default paths at the same time.
