Deleting useless network connections in Windows 8 sometimes adds Network Connections repeatedly while using Windows 8. Although this does not affect normal use, a long string of useless connections may not seem pleasing to the eye. In addition, some default network names (such as "Network 2") are neither intuitive nor nice. However, these connections cannot be directly deleted or renamed. We can only use the registry to complete these connections. Click the Network icon for the system tray area to view the network connections currently in use under the available network list, such as a zjggmxx-jwc2. Press Win + R to bring up the run dialog box, enter regedit, press enter, open the Registry Editor, and jump to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/NetworkList/Signatures/Unmanaged, there are some sub-items under it. Here you can view the corresponding network connection and delete the items corresponding to the nonexistent network connection in turn. Note: Do not delete the available network items (in this example, the zjggmxx-jwc2), so it is best to back up the registry before the operation. Next, you can rename the name of the network connection you are using. In this example, double-click to open the Description item in the zjggmxx-jwc2 and enter the name of the network connection you want. After the system is restarted, the modification takes effect. If you need it, try it.
