1. Let's take Windows 7 as an example. In the "Start" menu, click "Devices and Printers", as shown in the following figure.

2. A "device and printer" window will pop up. Now we will add "add printer" to the pop-up Printer. On this page, you can add a local printer or a network printer;

3. Click "add local printer" and select the printer port. As shown in the figure, select the port and click "next ";

4. On this page, select "manufacturer" and "printer type" for driver loading, for example, "epson lp-2200 Printer". Click "next" after the selection ". Note: if the Windows 7 system does not have a printer type in the list, you can "install from disk" to add a printer driver. Or click the "Windows Update" button and wait for the Windows network to check for other drivers.

5. If there is no problem with both the printer and the printer driver, click "next" to install the driver;

6. after the print driver is successfully installed, a prompt is displayed, here we can choose not to share the printer or share the printer so that other users in the network can find and use it ". If you select to share the printer, you need to set the name of the shared printer.

7. Click "next". Now the printer is successfully added. We can also "print the test page" to check whether the printer is available.

Note:If there are multiple printers, we need to set a default printer. For example, right-click the printer to be set and click "set as default printer.
