Disable Automatic TCP tuning in Vista to accelerate web browsing

Many people complain that the web page in Vista cannot be browsed or is slow. In general, we will consider that thunder occupies too much bandwidth. In fact, sometimes the culprit is Vista's TCP automatic tuning function.

Problem:

Try to open some websites in IE browser on Windows Vista-based computer. However, this may cause slow Internet connections and may receive an error message "this page cannot be displayed.

Solution:

To solve this problem, we recommend that you disable the automatic TCP tuning function. The procedure is as follows:

1. log on to the computer as a user with administrative permissions.

2. Click Start, attachment, find the command prompt, right-click it, and run it as an administrator.

3. type the following command at the command prompt: netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel = disable, and then press Enter.

4. After the command is successfully run, Enter exit at the command prompt and press Enter.

5. restart the computer.

6. After logging on to your computer, try accessing a website.
