General Delete Files:

Normally, when a file is deleted, it is moved to the Recycle Bin instead of being deleted immediately. You can restore these files at any time as long as you do not empty the Recycle Bin. In addition, even if the Recycle Bin is emptied, or the SHIFT key is pressed while deleted (that is, delete directly without moving to the Recycle Bin), the file data is not corrupted, but the file is marked as "deleted" in the file "index". In this case, the deleted files can be easily recovered through the data recovery software.

How to delete files completely:

Therefore, if the document contains data that needs to be kept confidential, normal deletion does not guarantee that information will not be disclosed. This requires the use of the Diskgenius software "completely delete files" function. The so-called "complete deletion" is not only the file marked as "deleted", but will empty the file "index" and file data. In this way, no means can recover this file. First select the file or folder you want to completely delete, and then click the right mouse button on the selected file, pop-up file Action menu, as shown in the following figure. You can also implement the same functionality through menu items in the main menu "files."

When you delete a file with this feature, the file data is populated again. You can choose to fill characters, such as filling with 0, filling with random numbers, and so on. You can also choose to purge file "index" information. If you erase only the file data, do not clear the "index" information, recover with the data recovery software, you can still find the file name, but the recovered file data is not correct. Because the file data has been populated by Diskgenius. If you need to leave a trace, you must also choose to clear the file "index" information. For NTFS partitions, select Delete File records in $MFT. For fat/fat32 partitions, select Delete directory entries.

To confirm that you want to remove, press the Delete button. After the file is completely removed, the Diskgenius file recovery function (or other data recovery software) cannot be recovered.
