Method 1: Create a New NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers DWORD (32-bit) value, so that the windows 10 system will not automatically restart the computer after the update is installed.

Registry path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows \ WindowsUpdate \ AU

Steps:

Right-click Start in the lower left corner of the system desktop, click Run in the Start Menu, enter regedit in the run dialog box, click OK or press enter to open the Registry Editor;

In the registry editor window, expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft;

Expand Windows in Microsoft, and find WindowsUpdate. If there is no WindowsUpdate, right-click the blank area on the right-side of the window-New-item;

We name "new #1" as "WindowsUpdate". In the window corresponding to WindowsUpdate on the right, right-click the blank space and choose "New"> "item;

Name "new #1" as "AU". In the right-side window corresponding to "AU", right-click the blank space and choose "New"> "DWORD" (32-bit) value;

Name new #1 as NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers, and double-click NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers. In the DWORD (32-bit) value edit window that opens, change the value of the token from "0" to "1 ", click again: OK;

Return to the registry editor window and you will see:

NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers REG_DWORD 0x00000001 (1)

Click file in the upper-left corner of the window and click exit from the drop-down menu ]. Exit Registry Editor.

After this configuration, the Windows 10 system will not automatically restart the computer after the update is installed.

Method 2: Create a NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers DWORD (32-bit) value Key and add it to the Registry. This will prevent the Windows 10 system from automatically restarting the computer after the update is installed.

Copy the following content to notepad:

In the open save as window, click desktop, enter NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers. reg in the file name (N) column, and then click Save;

Go back to the system desktop and click "NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers. reg] registry file icon. In the pop-up Registry Editor dialog box, click Yes (Y). In the displayed Registry Editor dialog box, click OK.

Create a NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers DWORD (32-bit) value Key and add it to the Registry. After the Windows 10 system is installed and updated, it will not automatically restart the computer.

Compared with method 1, method 2 is easier for friends who are not familiar with Registry Editor.

If you want to restore Windows 10 to automatically restart the computer after installing and updating, go to the Registry Editor and choose HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows, delete the WindowsUpdate key in the Windows expand item.

Method 3: Disable the Reboot task scheduler in the scheduler library, so that the windows 10 system will not automatically restart the computer after the update is installed.

Steps:

Right-click Start in the lower left corner of the system desktop, and click Computer Management in the Start Menu ];

In the computer management window, choose System Tools> Task Scheduler library> Microsoft> Windows> UpdateOrchestrator.

In Windows, find and click UpdateOrchestrator, find Reboot in the middle of the window, right-click Reboot, and choose disable from the shortcut menu ];

We can see that Reboot is disabled. Click file in the upper left corner, and click exit from the drop-down menu to exit computer management.
