Drools5.5.0 Installation

I found a lot of information on the Internet. Why is there no example of installing drools5.5.0 plug-in eclipse3.7 .. We can see that eclipse3.6 installs drools5.1 .. The latest version is 5.5.0 .. To keep up with the trend .. I flipped through. The result is successfully sent to brother. Haha! Eventually, we found that the drools plug-in version has nothing to do with the eclipse version. Others do not know, at least I installed is no problem! The test is successful!

First: Enter http://download.jboss.org/drools/release/5.5.0.Final/ to download two files

2. Decompress two files on the local hard disk. (Just put it at will. It is best not to put it in a file with a Chinese name !)

 

Open your path \ droolsjbpm-tools-distribution-5.5.0.Final \ binaries \ org. drools. updatesite \ features to see if the four jar ..

Open it with WinRAR. Decompress the package to the current folder ..

 

 

Step 3:

Use link to install the plug-in. This method is more portable and can be plugged in and unplugged at any time, which is very convenient.

Link install the eclipse drools plug-in offline

1. create two folders: links and myplugins under the root directory of your eclipse installation. These two folders are located at: D: /IDE/Helios/Eclipse/(for reference, used below)

2. Create a New drools folder under myplugin .. Copy features and plugins under the previous directory of the decompressed file to it.

 

3. Create a drools.txt file in the links directory (the name can be obtained at will), open and enter: Path = (your eclipse path) \ eclipse \ myplugins \ drools

4. Save and close drools.txt, change the suffix to drools. Link, and restart eclipse. (If your eclipse is not open, open it directly)

Step 4: Point

2. In the drools-> installed drools runtimeconfiguration run time, click addadd, select the decompressed directory of drools-distribution-5.5.0.final.zip, fill in the runtime name, select the runtime, and click "OK.

3. restart againEclipse, check whether the toolbar hasDrools icon. If yes, the installation is normal. Otherwise, open the menu-> Windows-> open perspective-> Other-> drools. IfNot in perspective. Please delete it.Eclipse/configuration/org. Eclipse. Update directory, and restartEclipse.

4. Create a drools project: click menu> File> New> drools project, enter the name of the created drools project, and click Next to select all options. Drools automatically creates the rule file and test cases.

5. Run droolstest. Java to view the result defined based on the Rule file sample. DRL.
