VoIPtalk provides standard and high-quality long-distance voice and fax services for enterprises and small offices, including gateway services for public telephone networks. Many companies engaged in traditional telephone services are very aware that the IP era is approaching. At the same time, companies that are good at data communication also use the integration of voice and data as their new growth points. The integrated technology has become a "battle for the enemy" for network and communication vendors ".
A few days ago, annett launched its VoIPtalk-based enterprise IP voice network solution. The VoIPtalk solution includes telephone/IP gateway, PSTN/IP gateway, and management software required to control network operations. With this solution, enterprises can reduce their telecom costs because they can use the data network instead of the standard telephone network to send telephones over different lines.
Product Features
1. AT-VP504E FXS phone/IP Gateway
AT-VP504E FXS external exchange business) can connect four or more traditional telephones or G3 fax machines to a LAN on the IP network, can access the Intranet or the Internet, for high-quality, full-duplex audio/fax communication. Allied Telesyn's AR Series routers provide the required gateway for Internet or company ip wan connections to support QoS performance to ensure optimal voice quality. AT-VP504E FXS collects all IP Phone assignments in a small, independent range. It digitizes audio signals from telephone or fax and compresses and packages them for transmission over TCP/IP networks.
2. FXO AT-VP504E PSTN/IP Gateway
AT-VP504E FXO external Switching Service) the device supports up to four analog connections to the public switching telephone network PSTN, providing a PSTN gateway device for an IP network. Multiple PSTN gateways can be installed in different locations on an IP network. When an IP voice call needs to enter the PSTN network from the original line, you can use the PSTN gateway closest to the destination. In this way, long-distance calls are converted into local calls, avoiding high long-distance calls. In other words, incoming calls from the PSTN can be sent to the phone connected to the AT-VP504 FXS through the AT-VP504 FXO over the IP network to maintain original compatibility. Using the "Hop-on" and "Hop-off" PSTN gateways, you can enable the PSTN phone to enter the company's IP network from the local device, send it to all over the world through the IP network, and then access it through another destination PSTN gateway.
Solution Analysis
1. Application of dedicated small switch Extension
In the example shown in figure 1, the connectivity of the central PBX is extended on the IP data network to the telecom staff located far away, which can save on PSTN calls. IP data networks can be localized or global, all AT-VP504E phone/fax/PBX connections are analog connections, AT-VP500 SIP servers provide telephone address ing, user registration, and AT-VP504E device configuration.
2. Application of fxo pstn gateway in AT-VP504E
In the Application shown in figure 2, a AT-VP504E FXO device is directly attached to the remote location to provide the IP Telephone Gateway Service for the PSTN, IP voice calls are converted to analog format for transmission over standard telephone lines. Similarly, incoming calls from the general telephone network are also converted into IP calls that are transferred through the enterprise IP network. This allows Local PSTN callers to make free long-distance calls to enterprises or other destinations.
3. "Hop-on" and "Hop-off" PSTN Gateway applications
In the Application shown in figure 3, call A in London sends A local call to the nearest PSTN gateway and uses the "Hop-on" enterprise IP address. Then the IP voice call is sent out, free of charge, and arrives in New York through the IP network, enters the second PSTN gateway in New York, and "Hop-off" IP network, as a local call to B.
Solution features
1. analog modem and fax Interface
AT-VP504E FXS and transmission speed can be in 9.6 ~ A 33.6 kbps analog modem is used together. Its four ports can run G3 fax machines with a transmission speed of up to kbps. The automatic Fax detection mode on each port meets the standard requirements. If a voice call or fax transmission call occurs, the fax machine will automatically detect and process the request accordingly.
2. Integrated AT-VP500 SIP Server
AT-VP500 SIP Server is a software tool that helps manage the network of AT-VP500 products and SIP users to provide end-to-end IP Phone Solutions. In particular, this tool can help you send standard phone numbers to corresponding IP addresses and search for valid gateways, to place various calls on the PSTN and record the AT-VP500 devices on all the networks found. The tool runs in Windows NT and can take full advantage of the AT-VP504E FXS/FXO device in the network.
3. H.323 keeper
The AT-VP504E FXS/FXO device requires H.323 dedicated keeper to provide a wide range of network services, including configuring, monitoring, and managing registered network users when running the H.323 protocol. Policies can be formulated to control network resources such as broadband. The H.323 keeper also provides URL conversion, network topology, and Region control functions. The H.323 keeper software supports the Window NT operating system.
4. QoS support
Provide support services for differentiated service code points mark DSCP) or DiffServ, so that a series of different QoS values can be arranged in the voice information package, for example: the default value is "low latency, high throughput, and normal reliability ". In this case, the corresponding policy filters can be defined in the Allied router to provide priority voice transmission over the IP wide area network. For Ethernet frame precedence, 802.scsi VKAB labels can be supported by AT-VP504E FXS/FXO in H.323 mode.
5. Auxiliary telephone service
Run the AT-VP504E FXS in SIP mode to provide a telephone service that users can obtain directly through their own phone:
● The call forwarding service is provided unconditionally when the line is busy and there is no response;
● Call waiting;
● Call transfer;
● Incoming call display.
6. redundant bypass
In addition to four telephone/fax ports, the AT-VP504E FXS also has a fifth ipvii connector for connecting to standard PSTN lines. This line is not used during normal operation. However, if the main power supply fails or the IP network goes down, the PSTN line is automatically connected to it, it can also be used as a redundant bypass. The redundant system can also be started through software control signals.
