Q: I'm using Windows XP, and the entire D partition is encrypted with Windows XP encryption, and I recently formatted the C partition with Windows XP and installed Windows XP because of a system failure, but there was a serious problem. In the new Windows XP can not read the contents of the D partition, and there are many very important files, how can i solve this problem?

A: This is because after you reload Windows XP, the folder's proofing code has been changed, so the operating system treats you as an illegal user and cannot read the encrypted partition. The way to solve the problem is as follows.

1. On the system desktop, select "Start → my Computer" in turn.

2. Right-click the icon for your encrypted disk partition D in the window that appears later.

3. In the Pop-up right-click menu, select "Properties → tools" in turn.

4. When you click the "Start Backup" button, you can see all the files in the encrypted area and back up the files to other partitions on your hard disk as prompted by the Backup or Restore Wizard.
