ArcGIS 10.3 for Server installation tutorial under Windows

First, operating system requirements

*windows 8.1 and Windows Server R2 support begins at ArcGIS 10.2.1

· ArcGIS Server requires a 64-bit operating system; 32-bit operating systems is not supported.

· Python 2.7 (*) is installed with ArcGIS for Server.

· Windows 8.1, 8, Windows 7, Vista, and Xp:these operating systems is supported for basic testing and application DEVELOPM ent use only. They is not recommended for deployment in a production environment.

· Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2003 R2, Vista and XP is no longer supported starting at ArcGIS 10.2.2.

· Hardware Requirements

For the deployment environment, the minimum memory needs to be 4GB. This requirement is based on a typical deployment of the following environments:

· Cached Map Services

· One dynamic map Service

· One locator Service

· One geoprocessing service

· Geometry Service

· Printingtools Service

· SQL Server Express

· When the IIS with Web Adaptor is actually deployed, the minimum hardware requirements are not materialized because they are adjusted according to the user and the requirements. Hardware requirements must take into account user requirements for performance and scalability.

Second, installation steps

· 1 , installation ArcGIS Server

After loading the disc, you can see the following interface

This time we're going to install an ArcGIS for Server

We chose to install ArcGIS for server, click Setup after ArcGIS for server

· in the pop-up window, click Next

Tick I accept the license agreement

Click Change to modify the installation path, click Next to continue

Click Browse to select the Python installation directory, select OK and click Next to continue

Create the server account and password, click Next to continue after Setup is complete

If you have an account profile created during the previous installation, you can check the option below.

Indicates whether to export account information. If not, you can choose not to export. Click Next to continue

Click Install to start the installation

Wait patiently for installation to end

Click Finish to complete the installation

· 2 , Authorization

Select the appropriate authorization method to authorize

Authorization complete, click Finish, End authorization

· 3 , create a site

When the installation is complete, the Manager page will automatically pop up, where we choose to create the site. Join the existing site is used to build the cluster, will be introduced later.

Enter the primary site administrator account and click "Next". A lot of people going to this step will have a question: This account and just installed

Does the account created in the ArcGIS Server step have a relationship? What are the controls for each? The ArcGIS server account we created in the previous section is the operating system account created for ArcGIS server (you can switch the operating system account to see if you have an ArcGIS server), which is actually used to manage ArcGIS Serv ER's operating system process (starting, stopping the ArcGIS Server service), and the site account we create at this time is primarily for managing GIS resources in various forms of service in the site (release, start, stop, delete of various types of services, site security, cluster management, etc.). Enter the previous site administrator account click Login
