The next Cloudstack 4.5 was installed last week for the management of XenServer. Cloudstack, like OpenStack, is an open source cloud computing resource management platform with an overall structure such as:
Region translation is the area, is the largest organizational unit in the Cloudstack, generally composed of a number of physically separated data centers, each data center corresponding to a zone, called the resource domain, of course, a data center can also have multiple resource domains (Zone), which is not strictly required. In general, the different zones are physically isolated and can be used for redundant disaster preparedness. Zone is also composed of pod (provide point), a pod usually corresponds to a cabinet, each pod can have multiple clusters, the cluster is the physical host. In general, each cluster has its own primary storage, and a zone is shared with a level two storage. Primary storage is primarily used to store disk files for running virtual machines, and level two storage is primarily used to hold snapshots of virtual machine templates, ISO files, and virtual machines. Installation completed the infrastructure interface such as:
Just started in the addition of the host has been added, check log is still unclear, and then find the answer on the Internet, that is, into the XenServer host execution command "Xe-switch-network-backend Bridge", The backend of the network will be added successfully after changing from the default OvS to bridge.
NFS is used for both primary and level two storage in the configuration, but the level two storage is not mount at all, and later changes the value of Secstorage.allowed.internal.sites in the global settings to successfully mount. This value represents a network segment, and the IP address of the NFS server must belong to this network segment, such as:
Since I installed the document according to the official website, the document is primarily for KVM, so some parameters need to be modified. When you download the system virtual machine template, execute the following command:
"/usr/share/cloudstack-common/scripts/storage/secondary/cloud-install-sys-tmplt-m/nfs/secondary-u/http Cloudstack.apt-get.eu/systemvm/4.5/systemvm64template-4.5-xen.vhd.bz2-h xenserver-f ".
But I forgot to copy the command "-H KVM" to "-H xenserver", so that after the download system virtual machine is dead or alive, the result is like Grandpa "Outsmart Tiger Mountain" in the "Can put me (we) harm bitter". After the virtual machine template is downloaded correctly, the interface is as follows:
After the system virtual machine is up, you can upload the template. I uploaded a WinPE ISO and then created a VM. Select the VM and go to the details screen and click on the "View Console" button:
The interface of the VM is as follows:
I here is the simplest installation, the network is also the use of the basic network, if you want to use the public IP to enable VMS to access the extranet, you can create a resource domain when you select the Advanced network. About Cloudstack I think there is not much to write, after all, is also just contact, about learning resources, I think cloudstack Chinese community has done a good job, there are a lot of information to share, but also do not regularly have a technical salon, need to take dry goods of their own.
