There is no need to introduce the IMail Server of IpSwitch.
1. IAdmin (IMail Administrator)
Click "Local host"-"General"-"Backup"
In the dialog box that appears, enter the name of the file to be backed up. Note that the file name cannot exceed 8 characters.
The backup content is stored in the installation directory of IMail as a file without a suffix.
The same is true for restoration methods! This method is completely in the graphic interface, which is convenient and simple.
2、Regback.exe (this file is in the IMail installation directory)
In command line mode, enter regback.exe-B xxxxxxxx;
The file name cannot exceed 8 characters. Pay attention to the file path during operations.
This method is similar to method 1 during restoration.
If the backup file is not in the installation directory of IMail, you must copy it first. Otherwise, the restoration program cannot find the backup file.
You can write a simple CMD or BAT file and add it to a Windows scheduled task, which can be automatically backed up on a regular basis.
32.16regedit.exe (Windows registry editing tool)
Run Regedit.exe and find the items related to IMail in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREIpswitch dialog box.
When restoring, you only need to import the backup registry file.
Regedit.exe supports running with parameters, allowing you to conveniently join scheduled tasks in the system.
42.16reg.exe (Windows console registry tool-version 3.0 may not be available in general systems. This is a tool included in Microsoft Resource Kit. It provides Chinese help and powerful functions. You can Email me or add me to MSN)
Run reg export HKLMSoftwareIpSwitchIMail XXXXXXXX. reg in command line mode.
Execute reg import xxxxxxxx. reg during recovery. Alternatively, you can double-click REG in graphic mode to import the image.
