Install Ubuntukylin + repair Ubuntu boot + dual-system optional startup in win10

To facilitate linux reinstallation on your machine in the future, record it. If someone else needs to start the disk or has other questions, leave a message.

1) install Ubuntukylin

<1> right-click win10, right-click my computer, and click manage. In the disk column, you can delete unused disk volumes (automatically merged ), if you do not know what disks with no names but space occupied are used, do not delete them; then, if you want to take out a disk with letters such as F or G for Ubuntu, cut the important items in the disk to another disk for backup, then, do not format the disk. Remember the size of the disk and the total space of the disk. If you do not want to partition the disk, you will be embarrassed to install the wrong disk in Ubuntu.

<2> shut down and insert the Ubuntukylin boot disk into the outermost USB interface.

Start the instance, and immediately Press ESC (not always press, but click Next) after the Asus icon is displayed. (I am an Asus Notebook, and others refer to their respective models) until the page appears that you choose whether to enable the USB flash drive (if either of them is a USB flash drive and Ubuntu is installed, select the one in the front, which is EFI or something), the following is the star screen, if it fails because the image is not displayed, it may be that the boot disk has not been created.

<3> select Simplified Chinese, either at the top of the language column or at the bottom)

<4> enter the selection interface. The trial on the left is the Live interface (similar to the interface on which PES are often used for system installation during windows installation ), we choose the installation on the right side (because the image is borrowed from someone else, here we should not select the text, but we can't remember it clearly, so we can be optimistic about it)

<5> then there should be a prompt page with three options to tell you in turn whether to turn on the power (not required, although it can be completed in more than 20 minutes ,, but it is best to ensure that the power is more than one hour), whether to connect to the Internet (required, can be connected to wireless, but it is not convenient to enter the account only after entering the password, it is best to find a place where the network is automatically connected by inserting the network cable ), there is another option that should not be important if you forget it. You can click Next to install the last two options.

 

<6> this step is important. Select the "Other Options" at the bottom.

Here is a picture of someone else who borrowed it. In fact, on this page I met, there is an option at the top that coexist with win10. If you do not select another option, select another option at the bottom ", as shown in the figure below, this position is selected.

 

<7> another important step is partitioning, as shown in the following figure. The background behind the partition creation dialog box appears very large, in fact, there are a lot of partitions, that is, your disk usage. Be sure to select the disk you selected (only by the used size and the original total size ). My choice is, before Ubuntu was installed, all the original fdisk 117G was taken out, about 4.66G for swap zone, around 383g 3G for/home, around 74.51G for/, and next step. (Note that the partition size must be calculated. For the first time, a 0 m volume is displayed because of an error. As a result, the installation is not successful. You need to enter WIN10, my computer, right-click, management, storage, and disk management. After deleting and merging the shards, repeat the preceding steps and try again)

 

<8> select the actual location. If the first few letters (such as jinan) of the place name are written, a possible location is automatically displayed, indicating that the location is online, otherwise the network may be poor.

<9> The following interface is displayed: name, user name, and password. You must remember that only English letters and numbers are used. At the bottom, Select Automatic Logon or logon. If you need a password, I will use it by default. It is not necessarily the one in the figure below. After confirming the next step, the next step will be the automatic download through the network. It may take about 10 minutes to 30 minutes. In some cases, the network speed may cause choppy, so don't worry.

<10> the installation should be completed, or some other steps that I did not mention are not very important. Just check the situation. After the installation is complete, the system will prompt whether to restart the computer. Choose "yes", "restart", or "WIN10". At this time, there should be no options for entering Ubuntu or WIN10 boot, it's okay to go directly to Win10. Here is how to fix the boot.

2) fixed Ubuntu boot

<1> shut down, insert the previous boot disk, Press ESC at startup, and go to the USB flash drive startup page. There are two instances that enter Ubuntu. Select the one in front of the EFI instance, it is similar to this interface.

Select trial on the left to go to the Live page.

<2> This Is A Ubuntu-like system. Find terminal (the window that inputs the command line) in the starter column on the left, and enter:

Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: yannubuntu/boot-repair

After you press enter, enter the following command to update the system software source list:

Sudo apt-get update

Then, enter the following command in the terminal to Install boot-repair:

Sudo apt-get install boot-repair

Search for boot-repair in dash (which is at the top of the taskbar on the left of the desktop, and there is a query box after clicking it ).

Start it and click recommanded repair.

(Note: In the previous step, enter Y in the dialog box,

Either input uppercase Y or lowercase y plus a space. Only one lowercase y is not considered y in linux)

Next, wait for the software to be automatically searched and a software box pops up prompting you to enter a command in the terminal and copy the command one by one as required to execute it in the terminal.

(Note! There is a place that will stop and let you choose a place where yes or No is similar to the dialog box. You cannot enter a command,

You can only select the option using a TAB, and press ENTER to ENTER the option. The content in the dialog box roughly means to ask if you want to remove all the two guided grub instances,

Select No! Next, follow the prompts to copy the command to the terminal for execution .)

Then there is nothing to pay attention to. You can do it by following the steps. In the end, it will tell you that the grub has been fixed successfully and tell you to restart your computer.

If you find that you directly enter win10 after the restart, you can change the BIOS boot sequence. However, these are not encountered in general.

After restarting the computer, you will find the option to enter which system.

(If windows hard drive cannot be automatically mounted in linux, you can go to win10 to disable Quick Start and try again later.
