China's Internet presents three major development phases
Recently, the China Internet Network Information Center published a Chinese Internet development event in 2004 on its website. From the 15 major Internet events that were selected, we can clearly see the three major development phases of China's Internet: double Helix driving of infrastructure and network applications, integrity and self-discipline, and a new round of public offerings. Five major events are involved in infrastructure construction, and four are related to Internet integrity and self-discipline. Listing and making profits will always be the prime topic of the Internet, for the first time, the three major portals ushered in annual profit and listed on the top of the top 10 domestic network companies.
This Internet event is an annual revision and supplement to the China Internet Development event. According to the inclusion criteria of "events that have a lasting and profound impact on China's society and economy in the Chinese Internet industry", the China Internet Network Information Center, on the basis of public solicitation to the majority of Internet users, 20 authoritative experts were invited to vote in two rounds to finally select the China Internet event in 2004.
It is reported that in order to record the development history of China's Internet network in detail, the China Internet Information Center edited and released the "China Internet Development event" for the first time in 1999. After the event is published, it has been widely cited by government departments, scientific research institutions, industry insiders, and news media. It has been translated into many languages and has become a valuable document for studying the early Internet development in China. In order to continue recording the event, the China Internet Network Information Center has organized an expert review committee composed of dozens of experts and formed a set of open and transparent mechanisms, the event will be supplemented and revised year by year in the future.
