Wireless NICs are not limited to dual-host interconnection. As long as one machine establishes a point-to-point connection, multiple other machines can directly share files and networks through this point-to-point connection. In theory, more than 16 machines can be supported.
Solution 1: Wired connection shared Internet access (No dial-up is required)
1,Use a laptop connected to a wired network as a hostTo enter the hostWired Nic"Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" option, select "Use the following IP Address ", enter "ip address", "subnet mask", "Default Gateway", and "preferred DNS server" in sequence ".
2. In the "wireless network connection" attribute of the two laptops, set the default"Any available network"Select"Only computers to computers"Do not select "automatically connect to a non-preferred network ".
3. On the "wireless network configuration" page of the host, click "add". In the "Wireless Network Properties" dialog box that appears, click "service name (SSID)" to customize a flag, set Network Authentication To "open" and set data encryption to "disabled "."This is a computer-to-computer (specific) network; no wireless access point is used"Option.
4.Wireless Network"Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" for configuration, enter an "ip address" that is different from the settings of the host's wired NIC ("subnet mask" and "preferred DNS server" still use the previous settings,"Default Gateway"Null).
5.Wireless Network of another notebook"Internet Protocol (TCP/IP )", enter an IP address that is different from the host's two "IP addresses" ("subnet mask", "Default Gateway", and "preferred DNS server" still use the previous settings ), then, refresh and connect to the wireless network in the wireless network configuration.
6. In the "Network Connection" of the host, select "wireless network connection" and "Local Connection", right-click and select "bridge ",Host"Wireless Network Connection"And"Local Connection"Bridge.
Solution 2: dial-up connection sharing
---------------------------- Host settings -----------------------------
1. Open the Host Control Panel, click "network connection", and in the "Network Connection" window, click "Create a new connection" on the left ".
2. In the pop-up "New Connection Wizard", click Next.
3. Select "connect to Internet" and click "Next.
4. Select "manually set my connections" and click Next.
5. Select "Connect using a dial-up modem" because we only have a telephone line. If you use a broadband connection, select "Connect using a broadband connection requiring the user name and password ".
6. Enter the ISP name, which is actually the name of your connection (you do not need to enter it. Use the default name: Broadband connection ).
7. Enter the phone number, user name, and password (you can leave it blank first ).
8. Do not rush to dial after the connection is created. Switch to the Advanced tab in properties and select "allow other networks to connect through the Internet connection of this computer ", select "wireless network connection ".
9. Click OK first. Right-click on the wireless network card and choose Properties. On the wireless network configuration tab, click "advanced". The displayed dialog box is displayed, select "computer-only (specific)", and do not select "automatically connect to a non-preferred network ".
10. Click the "add" button and enter a Custom Service name (such as zxit) in the service name (SSID). Other laptops will see this name when looking for a point-to-point connection.
11. Click "OK" and then the dialing starts automatically. If the dialing starts automatically, manually click the dialing button to complete the settings of the host.
-------------------- The host has been set up ------------------------
12. Search for wireless networks on the wireless network card control panel for other machines and select the set wireless network.
13. If you enable the properties of the wireless network adapter, you can see that you have been assigned an IP address. If you have not been assigned an IP address, make sure that you have not manually specified an IP address, then disconnect and connect again.
