After the outline framework and multi-level title numbers of the document are completed, the text content is filled. In this process, to make the document more expressive, we may need to insert a lot of images. For example, if you are reading this article, I want you to understand and operate it more easily, A lot of images are inserted. After an image is inserted, the subsequent work is to number the illustration. In word terms, for the objects such as images, tables, and formulas, a section with numbers is created for them, it is called "Question note ". The text "Figure 1, Figure 2" under each image you see in this article is called the question note. The popular saying is the illustration number. After the illustrations are numbered, you must set reference instructions in the body. For example, the text in this document, such as "(figure 1) and (Figure 2)" enclosed in parentheses, is the reference description of the illustrations. Obviously, the references indicate that the text and images correspond to each other. We call this reference relationship "cross-reference ". After understanding the concept, we will learn how to enable word to be automatically numbered by illustrations, and use the word "cross reference" function to set reference instructions for illustrations in the document body, that is, "cross-reference question note ". Before proceeding to a specific exercise, please prepare a long document and several images, and then follow the steps below to practice together, so that you can get better learning results. 1. open the long document you have prepared in word2003, insert the point to the position where the first image is inserted, select the "insert → image → from file" command to find the location where the image is stored, insert 1st images into the document. 2. Select the image, right-click it, and select the "Question note" command in the pop-up menu to open the "Question note" dialog box. Assume that the numbers we need are in the format of "Figure 1, Figure 2", etc. Click the "new tag" button and enter "map" in the "New tag" dialog box ", do not enter any number. The actual number word is automatically processed. After entering the information, click "OK" to return to the "Question note" dialog box (figure 15 ). Figure 15 3. Because we want word to be automatically numbered by illustrations after each inserted image, click the "auto insert question note" button and set it in the displayed dialog box. 4. open the "Automatic insert question note" dialog box, select the "Microsoft Word image" check box in the "add question note" list box at the time of insertion, and select use label as "Graph ", the default number is "1, 2, 3". If you want to change the number, click the "Number" button and set it in the displayed dialog box. After the settings are complete, click "OK" and return to the word editing window. When you insert an image in the future, the word will automatically add numbers for them (figure 16 ). Similarly, if tables and formulas in the document need to be automatically numbered, select the corresponding check box here. Figure 16 5. In order to facilitate the test, delete the 1st inserted images first, and then insert them in. You can see that word automatically adds the question "Figure 1" below it ". 6. Next, move the cursor to the insert position of 2nd images and insert 2nd images. You can also see that word automatically adds the question "Figure 2" below it ". 7. Insert the remaining images into the document. Next we will use the word "cross reference" function to set reference instructions for illustrations. 8. enter "()" in the position of the quote description in Illustration 1 in the body, and then calibrate the light in it. Select the menu command "insert → reference → cross reference, open the cross-reference dialog box, select "Graph" from the "reference type" drop-down list, and select "only tags and numbers" from the "reference content" drop-down list ", select "Figure 1" in the "reference question note" list box and click "OK" (figure 17). The reference description in Figure 1 is set. Figure 17 9. in this case, the cross-reference dialog box is not closed. we can locate the insertion point where the reference description in Figure 2 needs to be added, select "Figure 2" in the "reference question note" list box and click "insert" to add reference instructions for Figure 2. 10. Add reference instructions to other illustrations in the same way. 11. The reference of all illustrations in this document describes the benefits of using the word "cross reference" function. 12. intentionally delete an image in the middle of the document, including its question note and reference description. If we used the conventional method to manually enter question notes and references for the illustrations, the question note and reference number of all illustrations after the deleted image are incorrect and need to be modified manually. 13. however, since we used the word auto-add question note and the cross-reference function to add reference instructions for the illustration, now we only need to select all the documents and press the keyboard "F9 ", word automatically updates the domain, so that the sequence numbers in the subsequent topic note and reference instructions are automatically updated to the correct status. If you have a better understanding of the word domain concept, You can naturally understand the word smart function. If you are a beginner of the domain, you may think this function is quite amazing, but you can take this as the beginning to understand the word domain, and you can initially understand the word domain as a variable, it intelligently changes based on actual changes. Domain is one of the essence of word and has a wide range of applications, such as the directories and indexes that will be introduced later. Their essence is domain. Last, I would like to add a reference to the formula. Generally, the number must be on the right of the formula. The basic steps are as follows: 1) create a formula in the formula editor, and place the cursor on the right side of the formula. Do not select anything. 2) use the same method as the illustrations. insert-> reference-> question note to add a new question note. 3) Because word automatically treats an entire row as a field, the formula on the left of the number is also added when it is applied in the text. To avoid this problem, press CTRL + ALT + enter to insert a separator between the formula and the number to separate the number from the formula. Then you can reference it as much as you like. This is a solution I found online for half a day. |
