Without a doubt, Windows 7 and Windows Cloud will be the main character of Microsoft's professional Developer Conference PDC, but the latest version of Office will certainly have a place.
At the PDC Conference held next week, attendees will see various new functions of Office software codenamed Office 14 for the first time. Unfortunately, Microsoft does not allow any attendees to bring the product when they leave.
Speaking of the latest version of Office software, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said it can run in different ways, including online mode. In an interview with British Computer Weekly, he said:"We will re-compile the Office so that it can run in the browser."
At Microsoft's 2008 conference, software development engineers in the Network Development Department said: "We are working with colleagues in the Office Department to develop first-class Office network applications, this traditional client software innovation is expanded in various ways to provide more server, service, and browser client functions. "
A Microsoft spokesman declined to discuss details about Office 14, so we do not know how many Office 14 Documents Microsoft will provide at the PDC Conference, the list provided by the company only mentions two aspects. One is the commercial application of Office, and the other involves the Open XML file format of the software.
