This is a small technique for making glass text with Photoshop. We are ready for you setup.zip, it contains the text will be used in several important and cumbersome settings, download and extract you can see two files--f!logotut (no extension) and F!logotut. Acv. Please copy f!logotut (no extension) to the Lightning Styles folder in Photoshop (I use Phtoshop 5.5, the absolute path to this folder is C:\Program Files\photoshop\plug-ins \adobe Photoshop only\filters\lighting Styles).

When everything is ready, please create a new document, set the background color to black, RGB color colour mode. Choose a medium-brightness foreground color (I'm using rgb:98, 129, 53). Using Photoshop's word-embedding tool to put a line of text in the document, the preset color of the system is exactly the foreground we just used. In the Layer panel, you should see a new layer of text, and the name of the layer is probably the content of the text you implanted. There should be a small icon labeled "T" on the new layer, which is the branding of the text layer. We right-click on this small icon, select the "Render Layer" menu item to render the text layer as a normal layer, only in this way, we have the following filter operation to continue.

Holding down the CTRL key and clicking on the text layer in the Layer panel is the best way to convert the outline of the text into a selection. Use the Window > show Channel menu to display the Channel (channel) panel, and click Save Selection as Channel at the bottom of the panel to store the selection as a channel. There will be a white-bottom black word, with the channel named Alpha 1 appearing. After pressing CTRL + D to cancel the selection, use CTRL + I to reverse the channel Alpha 1.

Use the Select > Reselect command to regain your newly selected selection, click Filter (Filter) > Blur (Blur) > Gaussian Blur (Gaussian Blur) two times use Gaussian blur filter-the degree of ambiguity should be related to the size of the text you created earlier , for my use of the Pixels text, my two-time Gaussian blur using 8 Pixels and 4 Pixels respectively.

Press Ctrl + Shift + I to reverse the selection and fill the selection with black-that is, the part outside the text.

Press Ctrl + D again to cancel the selection and return to the Channel panel.

Drag and drop the text on the Create new layer button so that you can get a copy of it. Use filter filter > Rendering > Lighting effects for replicas. We use it to simulate stereo effects, which have been used in many previous tutorials.
If you have successfully installed the F!logotut (no extension) file we provided, you should see a f!logotut in the Style drop-down list in the Settings window of the lighting effects filter, which is usually at the bottom of the list. Select it and you can get all the parameter settings for the lighting effects filter We have prepared, and all you have to do is click the OK button to confirm the filter.

Press Ctrl again and click a copy of the type layer in the Layer panel, and use select > Feather (Feather) to feather the selection by 1-2 pixel points. Using Ctrl + Shift + I to reverse the selection, press the Delete or Backspace key two or three times consecutively. This effectively eliminates the jagged edges of the text produced by the filter in the previous step.

Now, press Ctrl + G to combine the previous layer with one of the following layers, and then change the color blending mode of the topmost layer to "color Dodge." The text at the moment will present a glass texture.

Continue our production--click the image > Adjust > Curves menu to adjust the curves of the images.

Here you face two choices, you can follow the left, carefully manually adjust the image curve, too troublesome, please click Load ... button to load the F!logotut extracted from the Setup.zip file. ACV files. No matter what means you take, finally please click OK button to confirm--remember! Remember!

If you find that there are edges and corners in the image after adjusting the curve, it doesn't matter, I also have this problem, my solution is to use filter (filter) > Blur (Fuzzy) > Gaussian Blur (Gaussian blur) to blur text 1-2 pixel points.

Color for text, I'm using "adjust Layer"--click the triangle button in the upper right corner of the Layer panel to select Add Adjustment Layer (add adjustment layer) in the pop-up menu. In the dialog box about adjusting the layer, we set type (type) to hue/saturation (hue/saturation) and select the Group with Previous Layer option. When the OK button is pressed, a window with the title "Hue/saturation" will pop up. When the Colorize item is selected, you can color the text arbitrarily by adjusting the Hue (hue), saturation (saturation), and lightness (brightness) three parameters.

At this point the text has been basically shaped-but there is room for full play. Create a new layer and place it above all layers. Press D to set foreground, background color to default, filter filter > Render > Clouds. When you are done, press Ctrl + G to group the layers below it.

Use the filter > Sketch > Chrome filters for layers, which are commonly used to simulate the reflection of an object's performance. Here we set its Detail and smoothness parameters to 10.

Set the color blending mode of the layer to color Dodge, and then change Opacity to 30.

Look at the bottom end effect, know how the color gradient on the text is generated? We're going to implement it now. Please add another adjustment layer, the same Type for hue/saturation, this time we "tu" on it with the last different colors.

Press D to set the foreground to white, the background is black, then use the linear gradient tool to drag the mouse from top to bottom on the adjustment layer, a set of color gradient is generated, the whole production is finished.

If you'd like to spend some time decorating your text, download the assorted BRUSHES.ABR brush file provided by Photoshop in the brushes panel (it's located in C:\Program files\photoshop\goodies\ Brushes folder), and then create a new layer, with a white foreground color in the high light portion of the text with a little radial glow painted on the brush tool.
