I. Windows XP Remote connection to Ubuntu Desktop
1. Download and install RealVNC on Windows XP;
2. In ubuntu, open the application/Internet/Remote Desktop viewer;
3. First, you need to configure the system/preference/Remote Desktop. The General Tab allows others to view your desktop and allow others to control your desktop. You can also remove the request confirmation and enter the password.
4. log on to the Ubuntu Desktop remotely by entering the IP address of the Ubuntu host in the VNC Viewer in Windows XP;
Ii. Ubuntu remote connection to Windows XP Desktop
1. In ubuntu, open the application/Internet/terminal service client;
2. on the General tab, enter the IP address and user name and password with the connection sub-account (I use the administrator user );
3. On the local resource tab, add my local drive to the remote computer;
4. On the my computer/properties/Remote tab in Windows XP, check to allow users to remotely connect to the computer. Click "remote user" to add the user to be connected.
