After installing Windows 8 with Windows 7 as an upgrade, you find that you cannot download files using IE10. Click on the download link in the page IE10 no response.
Then click "Tools" in the upper-right corner of the interface-"Download Manager"-and no response. Then there is no problem trying to use the other features, it seems that only the IE10 download related features are not working properly.
The problem was thought to be a security setting, but it didn't work in the Group Policy Editor to see a similar setting, and it turns out that it didn't have anything to do with Windows 8 and IE10 itself, because IE10 's Internet Temp folder was missing.
Prior to moving the IE Temp folder to c:temptemporary Internet Files, the folder was not present in the Windows 8 system, causing the problem to occur.
Workaround:
We simply move the IE Temp folder to an existing folder, or create a folder based on the currently specified path.
After the above operation, we restart IE, we can download the file and open the "Download Manager".
