The Windows Mobile Device Center is a new name for Windows 7 that replaces Microsoft ActiveSync (R), which provides Windows 7 with the total device management capabilities for Windows Mobile-driven devices. Previous versions of Microsoft ActiveSync will not be installed or run on Windows 7. Windows Mobile Device Center provides all the features available in the previous Microsoft ActiveSync, including setting up desktop partnerships and synchronizing with the desktop.
