What happens when you install a driver in Windows 7

The problem with the specified module was not found when the driver was installed in Windows7.

Failure phenomenon:

The error message "Cannot find the specified module" or "XXX.dll file is missing" when the driver is installed in Windows7.

Reason Analysis:

The application software runtime is generally preferred to call the required modules from its own installation directory (. DLL) file, if you do not have the required files, and then call in the Windowssystem 32 folder. This error message appears if you do not have the required files in the Windowssystem 32 folder.

In most cases, as long as they are compatible with Windows 7, these modules (. DLL) files can be found in the Winsxs folder. So, to solve this problem, we simply copy the specified module file from the Winsxs folder and paste it into the Windowssystem 32 folder.

Solution:

1, in the start of the search box type cmd, enter. Open a command prompt, type the CD in the Command window, and press ENTER.

2, then type dir aeevts.dll/s, and then press ENTER. (Here Aeevts.dll the name of the. dll file you want to find)

3. All Aeevts.dll file paths will be listed in the computer. Make a note of one of the paths, and copy the Aeevts.dll file by locating the file path you just noted. Then open the X:windowssystem 32 folder (x to represent the system disk) and paste the Aeevts.dll file you just copied in. Finally, reinstall the complete program.
