1, set the login background

In order to set the background, you must first prepare a picture of BMP format, such as stored in c:\good.bmp.

⑴ Start Windows Registry Editor by clicking Run on the Start menu, and then entering regedit in the Open dialog box.

⑵ Click "HKEY_USERS" under the "My Computer" tree in the left window, and select. DEFAULT "→" Desktop "item.

⑶ double click "Wallpaper" in the right window to fill in the name of the prepared picture in the value data item of the Open dialog box C:\good.bmp (fill in the full path).

⑷ The default state picture is centered on the screen, and if the picture is large enough you can not set it, or you should set the picture to tile effect. Double-click the "Tilewallpaper" item in the right window to change the 0 in the value data item in the Open dialog box to 1.

2. Display Windows version information

⑴ repeat 1 ⑴, ⑵ two to open the registry and point to the "Desktop" item.

⑵ Double-click the "PaintDesktopVersion" item in the right window to change the 0 in the value data item in the Open dialog box to 1, and before you log on, you can see the version information for the Windows2000 installed on that computer in the lower-right corner of the screen.

3, set the pre-logon prompt information

Windows2000 in the system before you can set up the prompts to inform the user to sign up for some information about the welcome, attention, and so on, operating methods are as follows:

⑴ click "Settings" → "Control Panel" → "Administrative Tools" in the Start menu

→ Local Security Policy (if the system is a server version, you can also click programs → administrative tools → local security policy) and choose security settings → local policy → security options from the open left window.

⑵ Title setting: Double-click the "message title when user tries to log on" in the right window, and enter the title of the login information box in the text box under local policy setting in the box, such as welcome, login instructions, and so on.

⑶ Content Settings: Double-click the "user tries to log in message text" in the right window and enter the login information in the text box under local policy settings in the pop-up dialog box, such as welcome information, information about the login notes, and more.

4, Cancel the Login dialog box settings

⑴ Open Registry Editor, click "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" under the "My Computer" tree in the left window, and select "SOFTWARE" → "Microsoft"

→ "Windows NT" → "Winlogon" item.

⑵ Double click "DefaultDomainName" and "DefaultUserName" in the right window to fill in the default domain name and user name for the system login in the Open dialog box's numeric data entry.

⑶ If there is no "AutoAdminLogon" item in the right window, select "New" String value from the menu, and then right-click on "New value" to select "Rename" and enter "AutoAdminLogon" as the name, and there is no need to take this step.

⑷ Double click "AutoAdminLogon" to fill in the Value data entry in the Open dialog box 1.

5, the use of password login method

The above set the use of the default password to log in, the login does not need to enter a username and password, this setting for ordinary users, and in the system management, often have to use the user name and password to log on users, using the following methods:

Holding down the SHIFT key before the computer starts to Windows2000 will automatically log on, the usual logon dialog box appears, and the user name and password of the system administrator can log on to the computer as the system administrator.

Note: If a user logs in with a password, they must enter a username and password, or the SHIFT key will not work at the next logon.

6. Cancel the user name of the previous person who logged in

⑴ the ⑴ point in repeat 3 to open the local policy → security options item.

⑵ Double-click Do not display the last logged-on user name in the policy window, select the enabled item in the local policy setting to not display the last logged-on user at logon.
