This is the last article in this series, and I've spent three of pages sharing information about Windows as a serivce, links to:
Windows as a service (1)--windows 10 Services Branch
Windows as a Service (2)--using WSUS to manage WINDOWS10 updates
Windows as a Service (3)--Manage WINDOWS10 updates with SCCM
This last article, to share with you, is to use Intune to manage Windows 10 updates. Because the Microsoft Intune service is not currently landed in China, interested partners can request a global version of Intune's test account to try it out.
—————————————-----------— Gorgeous split-line ———————————————————
There are two ways in which we can manage Windows Update for business. The first is through Group Policy, which is similar to the way WSUS creates computer groups, which can be referred to in the second section of my Windows as a service series, and the second one is to use Intune, first we need to add windows to Intune 10 devices, create groups, and configure update policies.
1. Add WINDOWS10 devices to Intune
Before you add your device to Intune, you'll need to purchase and activate your Intune license to set up Intune as an MDM authority.
Open Windows Settings setting, click on account accounts, and go to access work or school.
Enter your Intune account, if you do not enter the login screen, the account is incorrect.
Click Sync Sync to sync the device to Intune. Sometimes you may need to sync two times to see the added device on Intune.
On the Intune classic interface, click Groups-->devices to see the device you just synced.
Note that the devices we see here belong to personal personal devices, because we are joining MDM in the way of BYOD (bring your own device), and if we are in Azure AD join, will appear as corporate for your organization.
2. Create groups and set policies
Device groups in Intune provide the same functionality as collections in System Center Configuration Manager. We can create device groups and then configure Intune configuration policies for those groups that specify when each deployment ring accepts updates.
The interface is redirected to Azure, click Add Group, select assigned in membership type, click Members, select the win10-04 you just added, click Create.
After you create the group, return to the Intune interface and start creating a policy for that group.
Select a template for the new policy.
In the Oma-uri setting interface, click Add to add one or more Oma-uri settings to control the Windows device.
Add groups that follow this policy for updates.
At this point, we have created the updated policy for a specific group.
Conclusion
At this point, the Windows as a service--windows 10 update deployment Method I have all shared, I hope to help you, but also welcome everyone and I exchange ^ ^
Happy New year~
