The installation Manager provided by 1.Windows 2000 can create a variety of installed distribution scripts, including: Professional automatic installation, automatic installation of the server, Remote Installation Services, Sysprep installation. Now you have a I386 content directory and cdrom_is.5b3 file on your CD. I have created a boot section for this file and CD, which is stored in the file bootcd.zip.

Upon completion, you will get a file in which you specify about 400MB of ISO9660 mirror files, which can be deleted (copied to the CD on just the ISO mirror image).

You can now start with the CD (as long as your motherboard and BIOS support CD boot).

3. When a user logs on to 2000 of the computer for the first time, the Configure Server Wizard is started, but the check box "Show this window at startup" can be deleted to stop it. Installation should be done as follows:

Boot system to WINDOWS2000

Insert installation CD

From the command line to the I386 directory, type:c:\> winnt32/cmdcons

You can also hit the console directly from the installation disc. Boot the system from the CD (if your motherboard supports the CD-ROM boot), select Repair and type C to fix it using the console.

If you rename the Administrator account, the console will still work unless you delete the administrator account. However, the repair console (Recovery console) is temporarily unable to work in the domain.

5.windows2000 's rdisk was replaced by a tool called NTBACKUP.EXE. Run NTBACKUP.EXE, select "Create an emergency Repair disk" from the toolbar to insert a blank formatted floppy disk in a: drive, click OK, click OK to reach the completion information, and then click OK.

The repair disk can no longer be used to recover user account information, and you must back up/restore active Directory, which will be overwritten in the backup.

6. If you need to install Windows2000 on a machine that is less than 64MB in memory, you must have 64MB of memory installed in the default state to install Windows Server, however, you can bypass this limit.

First copy the Windows 2000 I386 installation directory to the local/network drive. Edit the Txtsetup.sif file I386 the root directory of the file. Search Requiredmemory.
