Create a virtual machine template locally and upload it to Azure (3)
In the previous chapter, we've covered how to upload a local Windows 8 VHD to azure storage via Azure PowerShell.
In this chapter, I will describe how we made our own Windows 8 Chinese version of virtual Machine through the Azure Management Portal, based on the Win8 VHD uploaded in the previous chapter.
The content of this chapter is divided into the following 2 parts:
1. Create Azure Virtual Machine image Image based on the VHD uploaded by the user
2. Create Azure Virtual Machine based on user-defined azure VM mirroring
First, we introduce the first part, making Azure Virtual Machine Image.
1. First, we still log on to the Azure Management Portal. https://manage.windowsazure.com/
2. Select Virtual Machine, click on the right side of the images page, and finally choose Create an Image. The following figure:
3. In the pop-up window, set the name and description (Description) of the Mirror, and click the Red area VHD URL. The following figure:
4. This time the Azure storage window pops up, and the user chooses to save the VHD in Azure storage.
We expand Leivms in sequence, UPLOADVM, and find the VHD that was uploaded before. Finally click Open. The following figure:
