Experimental background:
In the enterprise network environment in the absence of DHCP server configuration, often encountered such a situation, users do not know how to configure IP address; IP addresses often conflict; an administrator can frequently make an error in a single configuration of an IP address; customers of laptops often move from one subnet to another. There is a need to manually replace the IP address, the IP address resource is insufficient, but the actual user in the same time period is less than the number of IP addresses, and so on.
Experimental purposes:
1. Understand the Windows DHCP server installation process
2, understand the Windows DHCP server work process
3, master the configuration and management of Windows DHCP server
4, understand the DHCP Relay Agent concept, will use Windows client or router to do DHCP Relay agent to obtain TCP/IP parameters.
5, master Backup and restore the DHCP database
6, talking about the router to do DHCP server or DHCP relay Agent
Experiment Network topology:
Experimental instructions
This experiment is built in the domain environment, because, most of Windows ' services can only play a better effect in the domain environment, second, the experiment is from the domain point of view, or from the DHCP server and DHCP Relay Agent from the point of view is to achieve dual backup redundancy services. Because only this kind of environment with backup redundancy can make enterprise's network more stable and secure.
Secondly, in order to simulate the environment, two routers are used in the middle, and the RIP v2 protocol is enabled, of course, other routing protocols are also possible. The specific configuration will not be introduced, you can refer to other network articles.
Experiment steps
1. Configure the DHCP server installation process (mainly configure the DHCP server on the dc-domain controller, the principle on the bdc-domain controller is the same as the configuration on the DC)
1.1, before the configuration, the first to know the requirements of the DHCP server. The DHCP server requires running on a Windows Server version of the computer, which is a configuration run on Windows Server 2003. Because the DHCP server is running stably, it must have a static IP address, subnet mask, and other TCP/IP parameters.
The following are the TCP/IP parameters configured on the DC. You can see that the address of the DHCP server is the address of the 192.168.0.254/24,dns server is also 192.168.0.254/24, the gateway (R1 routing interface E0/1 IP address
The following is the TCP/IP parameter on the BDC, where the IP address of the other DHCP server is 192.168.1.254/24,dns is the IP address of the DC, and the gateway is the IP address of the R3 port e0/0 interface of the router.
