Windows Server 2016 storage Spaces Direct (S2D) experiment

Storage Spaces Direct is a Windows server-based storage solution that uses industry-standard servers with locally attached drives to create highly available, highly extensible software-defined storage.

The experiment consists of 5 virtual machines (domain: easthome.com):

Step 1: Configure the required Windows feature components for each S2D host node. Log in to the DC, run PS as Administrator, and enter the following command:

Install-windowsfeature-name File-services,failover-clustering-includemanagementtools-computername S1

Step 2: Configure the 3-node cluster and enable S2D, with the hosts S1, S2, S3, respectively

Login S1 as Administrator, Special test for s2d cluster, verify configuration

New-cluster-name S2d-cluster-node s1,s2,s3-nostorage-staticaddress 172.16.1.100-ignorenetwork 192.168.1.0/24
