Windows XP disk staggered

I have two hard disks A and B, A is the master, B is the slave,

First, install XP on a, and then back up the ghost,

Then shut down, use the jumper to set a as slave, and set B as master,

Boot, start from the disc, and use ghost to restore the backup. After the backup is completed, restart the disk to enter the system normally. However, the current system disk is not a C disk,

However, the first partition of Hard Disk A (now slave) is drive C, which can be used normally,

But I want to change it in the previous Win98 era. I just want to change it,

Next, shut down and unplug the power of drive a. I want the system to automatically identify the new drive C (the first partition of drive B ), as a result, the system does not display the Logon account interface when it comes to login. I wonder if hard disk A was not removed when the backup was restored, it is recognized as a boot area. Now, I copy the gho backup file to the last partition of drive B. I unplug the power of drive a for backup and recovery, the time was not long, but the first problem occurred again this time. It was still not because of the login region.

Later, based on the above two sessions, I knew the reason. It turned out to be related to the first backup. I used to use ghost on different partitions of a hard disk, I have never encountered such a problem. This time, I cannot replace it with two different hard disks. It may be that the information of the hard disk is recorded during the ghost process, I guess it is used as a boot partition. The gho file I got records the boot information about hard disk A, so it cannot be started without a boot from hard disk B, the above phenomenon will occur. Although B is set as the master disk A as the slave disk, but when the gho file is restored, in order to enable the system to start normally, WINXP automatically finds the disk as the slave disk. In this case, I am jealous of WINXP. When I detach disk A, it cannot be started normally.

It seems that the problem is really complicated, so I have to rebuild the system.

Conclusion: Ghost backup on one hard disk cannot be used on another hard disk. Unless software is used, hardware information is deleted.
